    I like the faint whistle it gives when I throw it. Solid hawk and made in America but still somehow a third of the price of the made in China competition. I'm a carpenter and I swing Estwing for work and play :)

    If at all possible I'd love to see you do product tests in relation to breaching.

      Justin Prather Check out my older video on this hawk, I hacked up a pallet

    Initially, I COULD NOT get the estwing to stick while throwing. Likely a combination of a dull blade and a harder wood target. But for those who can throw two rotations or more, this hawk works. I throw this thing and let it hit the target on its second rotation through the air. From that far back, you can really put your shoulder into the throw and the result is a good stick/impact.

    Cool video man. Nice tosses. Badass blade too.

      Nice, you know what I want to see. Longer distance throws. It would be cool to show yourself in the video throwing. One, so we know it's not a stand in, haha, and two, I think people can always benefit from watching others form and style.

      I will be posting a new axe throwing video probably at the beginning of next week. I'm using the Condor single bit throwing axe. What a beast. I hope you swing by and check it out brother. Have a great day.

    I cut off the rubber grip and did a Paracord braid on mine with a wrist loop at the end. Throwing didn't improve without a bit of practice but my grip was definitely better. Felt like I was throwing a hammer before.

    Because of the camera angle grouping is hard to judge horizontally, but vertically except for one it looked pretty tight.. I'm not focused on your individual skill level, just the axe's ability to keep it consistent.
    I had a friend's for a while because the grind was really uneven. I don't throw my own beyond a few times to test them, but the weight and balance didn't make it seem that it would lend itself for throwing. Watching it done makes me question my impression.

    I actually had some trouble throwing this. It didn’t want to stick as the blade is a little thick. Did you grind yours down a bit?

    Please Estwing, could you make the "same" but with a real full steel handle please ???

    • @danbrookes2997
      @danbrookes2997 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does have real steel running all the way through. If you don't like the handle then cut the vinyl rubber off and fit some g10 scales or something

    You throw left handed. Didn't notice till I watched it a second time

  • @olympictreehugger

    I've had problems throwing mine because the grind angle is so steep it doesn't want to stick into wood.

      Back to the basics for you, pick up a bunch of used lumber and buy a estwing claw hammer and then pull ten thousand nails with it and then try throwing your estwing tomahawk. Wax on wax off, and like in the movie, blood sport ,claud van dam is told to start by sweeping leaves.

    • @reng.5934
      @reng.5934 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess it depends at what kind of bar you're throwing it at? steel bar, aluminum bar?? :)

    What is the best hawk for trowing according to you?

  • @FitnessOver60
    @FitnessOver60 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    you should do more than just one spin, I find two spins more fun with this tomahawk

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ed Thöne Sorry, I haven't been able to master 2 spins with a tomahawk yet, I can only do it with my Schrade machetes so far.

      WeAllJuggleKnives the other thing is I started with throwing axes first, then knives, I think it's harder with knives I guess

    Please get back to reviewing good folders. You and nutnfancy were my go to's for that, now just him because all you seem to do is machetes. haha

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When they make some more good folders, I will review them. Lately, I haven't seen many that catch my interest. Whereas machetes are very useful for little cost.

      folders are boring. I'd rather see a machete or any other large blade. size matters, lol!

    Hi, I've been forging Estwing tools for over 25 years now. Why the heck are you throwing my work around? HA! That's really not how that tool is suppose to be used. I guess we are going to have to add another sticker to the handle neck that reads... "WARNING THIS TOOL IS NOT FOR THROWING". Be safe and keep buying Estwing hand tools.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives

      +Terry Dodge Ha! Well, you know, my dad was in Nam and guess how often he and his buddies used daggers and bayonets for tasks that were not their intended purposes? All the time LOL, mostly opening crates or cans with them :] But you make some great tools, buddy, just wondering if you can add some modifications for better throwing haha, just kdding :] :]

      We have a few all steel knives that are going to be hitting the shelfs soon. Not sure how they are going to juggle. I'll be watching for your review.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Terry Dodge I can't wait to see the knives. Do me a favor, if they have a Social Media Rep or Director of Marketing over there, tell them to message me on here, I'd love to do videos covering their new blades.

    • @terrydodge101
      @terrydodge101 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll see what I can find out. I can tell you that they are full one piece forged steel including the handle that is finger formed fitted and which is also powder coated. There will be a few different lengths to choose from,
