    I took a dremel tool and made a circular hole large enough to fit the Allen keys without having to remove the hand guard. Easy enough.

      That is a option and you just need to take your time and be careful.

    If you watch the kit badger review, he test fires it with the hand guard off, he also leaves the jam nut in place.

    How do you determine whether to tighten or loosen the gas block

    • @thetexasgunvault
      @thetexasgunvault  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are screwing it in, it is closing the gas off.

      You are like me. I just dig them out of my bin until I find the ones that fit.

    Hey man I
    Just got a sugar weasel the 16 inch. It has a slot for me to lower or raise the gas. What do I need to do to
    Just lower the gas slightly?

      Just use the proper allen wrench.

    What is the tool called? Do you have a link to it? I can’t find it. Thanks in advance

      I looked too. I could not find it. The owner said it was on Q's website. So I would contact them.

    Who makes that scope mount + riser for the RDR?

      I no longer have this one in for review, so I can not check. I am sorry.

    I guess the Riflespeed gas block is the only one you would use for 8.6 Blackout?

    • @thetexasgunvault

      I have never shot or handled an 8.6 Blackout so I can not say.

    Does it have a mid length gas system? My 16 inch is advertised as a mid length but it looks like a carbine length. It looks to be in the same position as yours.

    Reason why the gas block is not accessible is because they just re purposed the honey badger SD hand guard for these 13 inch 556’s. (Yes I think it is still silly that they didn’t adjust the hand guard to access the gas block)

      I think you are right. It would only take a little effort to fix it.

    So is it a 3 position AGB or infinite?

    That's a very poorly designed gas block, especially when you consider that Kevin talks at length about all the highly paid engineers he employs

    • @thetexasgunvault
      @thetexasgunvault  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I completely agree. It needs to line up with the cut out.

      @@thetexasgunvault That adjustment is also a very poor design that will carbon lock very early
