First off I’ll say that slash is one of my favorite guitarists. I appreciated him pre GnR when he was with Road Crew and Hollywood Rose. I have to disagree with you my friend. I wouldn’t consider Slash a technical, effortless type guitarist. I wouldn’t put him in the category with Clapton,Atkins, Vai or Gilbert. Slash is more of a wing it and mistakes are apart of the gig type guitarist lol
I wonder How one can be so amazing singer as well as such nice human being with so handsome looks. I've been listening this song more than thousands times but everytime I listen this song I forget everything . I'm really a biggest fan of Myles. I wish I could see Myles once in my life. I get bored with every nice song but this song is only the one which I never get bored with. Lastly, I'm thankful to Slash for making this and choosing Myles to sing it.
I wish I could find the clip but can't, however there's a clip out there where Slash tells an interviewer about Myles in his younger days being a guitar instructor and that he's very technically knowledgeable about the guitar, chord progressions and scales and that he actually gives slash advice on his playing if he gets stuck making something work. So not only is he a fantastic person and a great singer, it turns out he's a boss on the guitar too.
Every time I listen to the acoustic versions, it is like you found water in the midst of desert. It's hard for other singers to sing this song with the feeling that Myles shows to us. :)
Myles Kennedy, fucking musician man, absolutely knows when to reduce the octave and sing lower octave when slash is playing acoustic, hands down man...you are the best. And no words for Slash cause he is the creator of everything, hands down

Maybe you must see other ex-guitarist of Guns N' Roses, Ron "Thal" Bumblefoot. His technique in acoustic and electric much better than other guitarists in my opinion.
I also hope this pair of musicians keep performing together but we all know even if they don't there is no stopping either one of these guys I've been listening to music for over 50 years and I don't believe I have ever heard a musician with such range and control of their voice and hell as for slash the man is truly one of the greatest guitar players of all time they both are god sent written by Cris Burtz Rock On

He´s not hitting the high notes because it´s just a sweeter arrangement acoustically. That´s because the "high" notes are incredibly far up Myles´ head-voice range, and might sound very squeaky if he hasn´t warmed up for several minutes. He has no problem reaching for them, but it´s unnecessary, as the acoustic/electric versions should be treated in different ways. The acoustic version is a tender story, whiles the electric one is more energetic with instrumentals. = )
Myles, being that he's the vocalist for two fairly big rock bands, will most likely warm up a couple hours before every performance. On days when they're doing radio and interviews in the morning he'll almost definitely do plenty of warming up so he doesn't damage his vocal chords singing higher notes

Who would have ever thought we would have the internet and every single bleeping performance at our fingertips for trolls to constantly criticize. You can always tell which people don't know anything at all about performing and performing with frequency. It's just Bush League keyboard warriors all day long and it gets so old. I miss when you used to buy a ticket, shut the bleep up, and watch the show. Today, everyone thinks they are Simon Cowell.
