I really can't stress enough how relieved I feel to see a car built for corners. There is a limit to how many 2000hp missiles this little black duck can cope with on the cover of Street Machine. Fantastic job Heath, I rank this equal to Howard Bells SLR 8000.

I was bemoaning up at Summernats this year that it seemed like every car there turned up on a trailer. Then after checking out Heaths car in the Top 60 pavilion and seeing how sweet it was, I was amazed to hear that he drove the car up from Melbourne. Was that the only Top 60 car to not have turned up on a trailer? That is a tribute to you, and as Luke says, what a car! Fantastic 👌Great coverage as usual guys.
Being able to convert the old UC into something like this, is a masterful job. Very informative, and high entertainment value. The guy knows what he's talking about!
The line...you used crack me up older folk growing up in the 90s 😂😅😂😅...that must make those of us born in the 60s ancient 😅😂. The SLR 5000 was the pinup child of the era. As was the HZ GTS.
Awesome, I had no idea how much went into this build. It's restrained yet extremely well executed. Can I add, those stripes and decals have really linked it all together and made it pop 👌🤩

Great car, great owner with great knowledge. A truly impressive looking car. Very excited to hear it started life as a UC model. I did the same thing, picked up a motorless UC hatch, was a drag car. So had a little bit of work done. Picked up an old lx sedan and cut & welded everything to create my red & black hatch with a 5L 304. Again, excited to see and hear how you built your car, it’s next level +10. Well done!

EPIC BUILD! Epic Video by fullboost too! Heath knows how to have fun! My first LPG car was using 11c per litre gas.. Remember one team at Batthurst raced on LPG and swapped the whole gas tank at pit stops
@@Hezath wondered if you can mount a forklift bottle for extra capacity (20L? ) or a donut tank (45 usable litres) on the back floor(swing up for sleeping or lift out?) might affect center of gravity hehe. A mate in Gembrook has heard this car and says it sounds Glorious! Really glad this video shows all the mods and details i was able to see on the forum build, didn't even cover the wiper motor relocation mod ;)
@deankdx anything else I add tank-wise would ruin sleeping in the car... the way I've made the rear suspension does encroach on some of the rear floor shape... you don't get much for nothing on a smallish car! But yes a forklift bottle could be arranged in a pinch. The sound of the car seems to get better and better as the temper of the stainless has changed and/or the mufflers have filled up a bit. The sound is pretty unreal! hahahaha

Thanks Robert! With the low-down torque to weight ratio, the extra gear would be a bit wasted I feel. I did actually just put 3.7's in the rear (I had 3.9's in this video) and it is a better car for it. Fourth gear lasts a bit longer and is more usable, which is nice, and the motor eats up the rpm drop into overdrive like it's nothing at all. (it's so tractable it could probably pull on the highway at 1500rpm lol). I would rather put a 6spd in my Datto where it's less than half the motor capacity and needs to be kept on the boil. Sometimes when I'm driving really lazily in this, I will look down at the tacho and see it's under 1k driving out of a roundabout or something and it's still pretty smooth... "oh okay I guess I should change down because there's a hill coming up" haha

Killer car great setup, Id defintley go 6speed with either 3.4's or 3.7's in the ass end, 6 speed box nice close ratio box be mint in this.
