I love Pfister but Blackout I'm kinda just not into the theme (I dislike Pandemic as well). Never heard of Magnastorm and I already kickstarted Endeavor, recieved my copy 2-3? weeks ago and played it twice.

As an adjunct to my last comment - I appreciate that neither Barrage or Pandoria will be available to buy at Essen, but I heartily recommend you stop by and try them if you get the opportunity!
Lindisfarne aka Holy Island was a centre of learning and literature and a cradle of Christianity in England during the Dark Ages. Then the Vikings slaughtered the defenceless monks, destroyed the priory, and stole their priceless relics. Still Vikings are cool right. It was the first major Viking attack on England. Surprised that Sam and Tom haven't heard of it. The fact that Christianity survived the Dark Ages in England and eventually made its way to America is in no small part due to Lindisfarne.

Unfortunately, Tom didn't had the time to look at the Rules for Reykholt. He would have seen that it is not really Loyang, but not Feast for Odin either. But it is the first Rosenberg game with a story mode.
Hey guys, next time you do these lists can you please put the player count and whether it's co-op or competitive in the details banner? It'd just help the couples/big groups/co-op fans/soloists better gauge what they should further research ☺
I'm seriously glad there will be another list, because this one felt like a letdown for me - the only two games on it that are must haves for me are games I already have non-Essen related pre-orders for (Dice Settlers and Robin Hood). I understand the idea behind dropping games you have played off the list, but for me it just results in a list that feels more like a leftover list than a top 10. I was looking forward to getting hyped up about Essen, so guess I'll instead look forward to the follow up list.

I don't think monumental will be there. Tom talked about it a while back in a crowd surfing and it pulled me in. Based on comments on the cancelled kickstarter page, it will be re-launching on kickstarter on Oct. 9 or maybe Oct. 23 according to the most recent update.
Sorry to break this to you but Robin Hood and the Merry Men- it is semi-coop with everyone losing before final scoring potentially (unless you play the stretch goal coop and hope it isn’t a tacked on extra).
I am not too interested in most of these but Robin Hood, Chronicles of Crime (LOOKS AWESOME!) and Underwater Cities (LOVE Pulsar) provide something to be excited about. I think Paleolithic from a Taiwanese designer will be there. This looks like a really nice intro to worker placement for children. And it uses the map of Taiwan and the aboriginal tribes in the game.
Can you guys suggest or make a top 10 about games that have great replayability? I really hate games that I play and then after a while I know everything that's gonna happen. Excluding pvp games that are based on your opponents moves and not the game itself. Keep up the good work!!

I'm with Sam on Lindisfarne, tho: I designed a Viking/Norse-based RPG campaign/system called 'Lindisfarne-793' decades ago, so this is on my radar from its title alone! Pandemic: Fall of Rome is one of the very few Pandemic titles that has genuinely got me excited. My own top two games to look out for at Essen? Barrage and Pandoria... watch this space! :-)

You could have the historical development in Dice Country as the Dice Settlers found Dice Town, which grows into Dice City.
