    Só me explica porque varia a altura do quadril quando executa o chute em kiba dachi, já que pregam e cobram que não se deve variar a altura?

    Aren't you supposed to pivot and use the hip rotation to drive in the kick instead of using only the leg muscles to throw the kick?

    • @kbeldenkb
      @kbeldenkb 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is keage or snap kick. You are describing kekomi or thrust kick. I’m told this can be used as an uppercut to the chin.

      @@kbeldenkb Thanks for clearing that up. I don't understand Japanese but should have been able to tell by the way he threw the kick.

    *Beautiful technique indeed, but if possible we would love to see it performed against a hard target (not just in the air) such as a heavy bag, pad, etc.*

      Bro this is a Japanese traditional style. They don’t practice on bags. Their targets are other students in kumite.

    Interesting. Nice video. Strong yoko geris, but I didn’t know that Shotokan executed them differently. The original way Chinese and Okinawan steps behind. Even my style (Kyokushin/Seido) does it that way too. Stepping in front seems intuitive, but in my experience one has to swing the leg more around the the support leg. I’m trying to see an advantage (power perhaps?) but I’m not sure if I do. One in a while front step becomes necessary due to opponent position, but typically it feels more comfortable and natural with the step behind. I studied a little Kung Fu as well and again stepping in kibadaichi the backfoot goes behind though they generate additional torque by twisting and dipping the lead should down. I find that also adds an little extra protection too, but my kicks are stronger for incorporating that element. Taekwondo is known for fast kicks and they too step behind.

      Just to explain it shortly:
      this style of side kick is very weak compared to the common (sense) version where the pivoting foot steps back enabling more straight and powerful execution.

    Useless kick, never used IRL.

    • @76kamikazi
      @76kamikazi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You are a idiot to say this is a useless kick because you are too stupid or no one ever taught you how to use it It is not a kick like the round house or front kick that you can fire it in and out like a jab from any position.This is a technical kick that has to be set up in order for it to score because it is too easy to detect.But I promise you if properly executed and it land you won't be getting up.

      There was a fighter named Bill “Superfoot” Wallace who used this kick effectively. His record was 23-0.
