- Tanking my Acceptance Rate for bad orders. DoorDash ride along.
Part-time Gig Work ride along.
Can You Make Good Money as a Part-Time Delivery Driver? DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub and Walmart Spark.
Ride Along Gig Work.
Food/Grocery delivery for a part-time driver.
DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, Walmart Spark Delivery Vlog
Talked to a friend who is a Top Dasher with a 90% AR. He worked the same area and same time that day and made twice as much as I did. I don't think cherry picking is the way to go in my zone.
Confirms my reasoning for becoming a Top Dasher 5 months ago. I wasn't making any money as a cherry picker at that time either.
Oh well. Was worth a try.
So interesting you like the morning more than nights. I love nights lol
Learning to appreciate the evening business a bit more. Definitely better restaurant quality than those in the morning!
Good comparison. Thanks for video
I dash in a large metro and found that I get about the same offers now that my AR is in the low 60s as when I kept it above 70. Yesterday alone was a $19 order and a $29 order. Got so tired of accepting trash orders to keep my AR above 70.
I hear you! Taking charity orders gets old. Feel like I'm being used by DoorDash AND the customer... :(
Keep on, Keeping on! 😊💪
You too! :)
Great video, things in North Scottsdale aren’t looking good either. People aren’t spending money or tipping well.
Ups and downs. Hopefully it will pick back up at some point!
In my area, you have to cherry pick otherwise you could end up losing money. I see plenty of 10 to 15 mile one way orders for $5 - $7 and sometimes lower, so factor in another 10 to 15 miles back, this is why dashing in non metro/small town areas isn't a great option.
As with everything, location location location matters
For sure. I feel sorry for some of these gig workers who are doing a ton of miles on those lower paying orders.
I too prefer the earlier times to Dash. It has been very slow as of late though.
The late afternoon into evening traffic can be hectic, however I just persevere and keep going. As individuals, We do what works best for us in our particular markets.
Keep 'keepin on' ......
I deliver for a local pizzeria in the evening, luckily it's tucked into a neighborhood so I can usually avoid some of the more congested areas.
We have two seasons in our state- winter and construction. Looks like it's the same in Colorado.
Lol sounds about right.
4:06 my arch nemesis (the portal) 😂😂😂
Lol usually works for me no problem. Confused me that time.
Git er done.
4:24 I was like quick and easy? oh ok 😂😂😂😂
You have to work 10 hours. It always works out for me. There's hours I make 13 dollars. Then there's hours I make 40. Yesterday I did 56 dollars in 75 mins. I make most of my money at Meijer.
For sure, most of the times I am able to deliver is in the off hours late mornings or afternoon. I have definitely had some good hours here and there.
You had some good orders. I like the short mileage. They are the best. Especially if the pay is good
What state are you delivery in?
Yeah I don't mind the low mileage orders even if they don't pay too much. Can squeeze a good number of those in each hour. Delivering in Colorado Springs, CO.
little ceasars quick and easy? You must be lucky mine take 1 hour and always have to unassign after 10 minutes of waiting
Rarely have to wait for a little Caesars order around here. Wish I got more of those orders, usually not a far drive either.
I cant seem to get over $12/hr in my area, regardless of AR. My market is a dumpster fire.
Ouch. Hope you have other options available, Uber Eats, Spark etc.?
I didn't make much today, im in California.
I feel ya! Are you cherry picking or Top Dasher/platinum tier?
7:26 a mess indeed
Is this in Ankeny Iowa I notice the slim Chickens
Colorado Springs, Colorado. Slim Chickens is pretty new here, people seem to really like it.
@@RoamingMaxTravels okay yeah how is dashing in co springs? I want to move there so bad Iowa is lame
@@prestohh it's not bad for top dashers. I've got a friend that does it full time and does all right.
5:08 I just send text that I arrive and leave at door
I'll start doing that, will save some time.
@@RoamingMaxTravels take a pic and send through doordash they make records.
Does door dash pay you for gas?
No, it’s part of your cost of doing business. That is easy to factor, but depreciation on your car with all the extra miles and factoring in repairs and maintenance are a bit harder. It’s a fools errand delivering for these apps. It’s like slave labor.
@@laurafratoni7931 ouch I thought they would atleast pay for that..
Gotta factor all that in when accepting orders, that's why some people refuse to take the no tip or low tip offers. Can end up being a charity delivery if you aren't paying attention (after gas and maintenance).
6:18 empty per usual
I do way better as a top dasher, cherry picking killed my cash per hour
Thats what seems to be the best in my zone. Not enough orders and/or too many dashers to be cherry picking here.
Cherry picking now a days won’t cut it especially with tier program you just screw yourself better to get your ratings as high as it can be to get the top orders it’s how it works now
