  • I was able to get out this morning and do a range test with the Hubsan Zino Pro. Very nice range. The only thing holding it back is the battery. A little larger battery and this thing could push the limits.

    I appreciate you doing this range test, I always push my birds to the limits to see how far I can go also! The battery actually may improve in flight time after it has been cycled a few times, I believe you need to cycle them about 10 times to get the best performance out of them. I'll keep an eye on your channel and see if you decide to do this test again after you have had time to cycle the battery. Nice Video!

    Nice flight, whew... Just made it. Next time:
    1. check wind direction
    2. go out into the wind, return with the wind at your back
    3. turn of all obstacle avoidance sensors
    4. don't land in the grass or leaves. That could damage the motors

    Nice flight! Glad you made it back! Judging by the tilt and roll displayed on the FPV, you had a cross-tailwind going out, so that's potentially a very risky situation, since you need more power for the cross-headwind return. I couldn't believe that the auto RTH flew back so fast, it was showing 24 degrees of tilt, and can't have been the most efficient strategy for conserving battery. As Jburd drone said, you probably would have been better off manually flying it back, keeping the tilt to a lower value, maybe somewhere between 10 - 15mph instead of 20mph.

    • @mattfoley7881
      @mattfoley7881 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Patrice Horcholle - I’ll tell you... this was only a 14-min flight, which discharged the battery down to 9% (a level that is close to damaging the battery). So your 16-min flight assumption is not real-world. Nor is the assumption of 10 m/sec both outbound and inbound, which assumes zero wind at altitude. I’m not knocking the Zino, but prospective buyers need to have realistic performance expectations.

    • @patricehorcholle3947
      @patricehorcholle3947 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattfoley7881 MT Yerpokits ok, I get your point, but I'll tel you...in order to give a realistic performance expectation you need to look at many reviews/test, not only one : for instance the same reviewer did a week after that test 3.2 kms at a speed above 8 m/s. Not bad for a bird that ,according to many on that file, "could not do more than than 2 kms considering battery life and speed ..." .
      During that second test the battery was at 72% at 2 kms, 62% at 3 kms. I let every one do the basic math... For me the realistic round-trip range is 3 to 3.5 kms , at 8.5m/s above 15°C with a good battery (Hubsan batteries are probably not very high quality resulting in discrepancies from one to another). King regards.

    I am new to Drone.I am planning to buy one soon. One question, Zino Pro’s more distance coverage means, it will have more signal strength if there is a obstacle between controller and aircraft when we fly at lesser distance (eg:1000M) compared to Zino H117S?

    • @WilliamHorsley1962
      @WilliamHorsley1962 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but don't want obstructions blocking your signal. The LEAS system is better with obstacles then original zino by far but best results are line of sight preferably in isolated areas

      @@7760468484 me too. I got mine on gearbest for $330 after taxes. Ordered 2 days ago waiting for confirmed shipping . I have original hubsan zino but it's range is not so good with light obstacles like sparse tree blockage but I've did some studying on the LEAS 1.0 system on zino pro and it has a much stronger signal. Interesting reading and the hubsan zino 2 has the LEAS 2.0 system for 8 km range with optical flow sensors I've heard not sure about sensors but I do know you can unsnap camera from quadcopter for repairs I'd suspect that's why it comes off. Anyway you and yours have a happy new year. Sincerely William Horsley

      They planned it this way so you'll need to buy the 5000mah battery for over $50 . They were well aware of its lack of battery to actually make 4 kilometers. Sneaky business practices. I ordered 1 on flash sale and I was 1 of the 1st but put me on backorder. Sold 101 units before running out?? saying they were surprised by its popularity. LMAO. I'm still on backorder and they just started another flash sale with jan 16th as shipping date. Don't fall for that. Only if you want to wait a very long time. I'm just going to wait because it's a good price. They gave me 100 points to make up for their error. About $1 I believe with restricted use
