Love Tainan. First visit I had there, all the temples were having a massive parade through the city. It was magical.

Thank u once again, Jason. I often send these to my adult autistic daughter to share the travel experience together, as we lived in several different countries when she was growning up. A very cool opportunity you afford us to enrich daily life for her.

Hi Jason: Thanks for showing something different. Taiwan seems to be rich in culture and everything is so well maintained. One of my cousins has been living in Taiwan for the past 4 years and the family just loves that country. Their time is almost up and the kids are very reluctant to leave Taiwan.

Hayashi is a common family name of a Japanese person. So, I checked it. And I found out the founder of the building is 林方一 (I’m sorry I couldn’t find Japanese pronunciation of his last name, 方一), who is a Japanese.
My next travel destination is Taiwan. So, thank you for your awesome information.

That’s right, it was opened under Japanese occupation of Taiwan. There’s a lot of crossovers between cultures - Japanese influence is everywhere.

Very cool, super fun video, Jason! Thank you for sharing all of this! My husband and I live deeper south in Taiwan currently, and we adore Tainan based on the small handful of times we've visited. We have yet to visit each of these locations, so now we have a few ideas thanks to you! :) You're awesome!!!

Hi! thanks for this video :) Tainan looks quite flat. Would you say it would be easy to visit and enjoy Tainan for someone using a wheelchair? :) Any other cities and sites you would recommend (aside from Taipei) for a wheelchair user? thank you!

Sadly Tainan people don’t speak English so you will need a friend to help you speak mandarin. Tainan is most underrated for tourists but is must to see Tainan! Tainan is very fun easy to navigate around the whole city! Tainan also have night mark which is very popular. I miss Tainan already!

Centuries before the Dutch people came to Taiwan, already many Chinese moved to Tainan, mostly from Fujian and some other coastal areas. Taiwan was not "discovered" by the Dutch as indicated by what you said. You may need to learn some more of Taiwan's history before you made this video.
