In the last active rectifier circuit( complementary switch), if both switch s1 and S2 will be off, what will happen? Whether circuit will act as normal diode bridge rectifier or not?
Greetings of the day sir! Thanks sir, it was a very infromative video. I am starting a project for AC Voltage Stablizer. I was searching for AC/AC Converters but not much literature is available on this. So I am proposing : AC/DC PFC totem pole -> DC/DC buck -> DC/DC boost -> DC/AC full bridge. I am using buck and then boost to increase the input operation range of the circuit, let us say 85Vac to 275Vac and a constant output voltage of say 230Vac. Please correct me if I am wrong and verify the schematic if possible. And please share your contact details so that I can reach out to you. Looking forward to hear from you.
Hello Vipin, you may find the following m.tech thesis relevant www.ee.iitb.ac.in/~sa/research_students.html go to "Design And Development of Single Phase Dynamic Voltage Restorer [Download Thesis]"
GaN or SiC are best because the first leg is supposed to be a high frequency leg and we need to have very less reverse recovery so these device helps us so we use GaN or SiC devices.
Sir you deserve millions of subscribers. Thanks a lot
Thank you sir, neat and clean!!!

Sir, why GaN is the best device for Totem-pole PFC ckt. Why not Si?
