- Hey Guys, Migs Here! In today’s video, I am picking up a motorcycle, a 1980 Honda CB750, and going to be doing an insane build series with this, and engine swap onto the half scale NASCAR! We begin working on it a little bit in the effort of getting this running! I unstick the engine from it being locked up from sitting for so long, and get the electric start working once again! Depends on what parts you need. We have wheels, forks, shocks, random electricals, starters, rotors

You can't even make a simple exhaust so why are you going to do a engine swap...your going to trash it

It's a battery charger it's not meant to start a motorcycle it's meant to charge so it doesnt have a power build up which batteries have.
Don't ya have to hold the clutch to start it lol

be careful, don't force the engine to turn over when it's stuck like that. You can pretty easily snap some piston rings
best way to do it is lightly rock it back and forth to try to ease it past the potential rust in the cylinders.

And if you rotate the engine backwards it will bend the valves
@@benson4u215 Not true. As long as the engine is in time, then rotating the opposite direction won't hurt the valves. As long as the timing is correct it won't matter which direction you turn it. The only thing i would think it might mess with is the pumps(Oil,Water) and even still it would take quite a few revolutions to damage things by turning the engine backwards.
This was too big of a jump for you you aren’t just gunna pick it all up that easy good luck
Don't waste your time and money on something that old. Find a beat up cbr600 or gsxr600 that needs plastics. Save lots of money and headaches

Pour some marvel mystery oil down the spark plug holes and leave it for a while then keep doing it by hand with the plugs out. I'd invest in some pb blaster too for rusted parts. Your get there 👍
pull the carbs off and make sure the mice did not get into the intake side if so clean it out good put some mystery oil etc.. in the intakes and also in the cylinders I would also pull the header pipe and check the exhaust valve side and lube them up also , more than likely the carbs can be easily rebuilt . The carb kits are cheap .
My advise is get a gas mig welder gasless weld like shit and arc welding probably wont work for that type of project tig welding takes a long time
That thing will be a nightmare, get somthing that fires right up hit up Craigslist. You can get a Honda 600rr or gsxr for around $1000bucks depending on plastics/ riding shape, mabey cheaper, ( broke frame,broke triple tree, but runs perfect $600 cash all day.
Oil up the cams before turning it over too bud! Friction sucks
Nah, and don't get me wrong love your vids your character but this was a bad choice just in my opinion. Should have went for a salvaged stunt bike if you wanted a bike also you could have bought a 670cc and staged it. just thoughts if things don't go as planned sandrail motor, dual 212 predators awd kart ANYWHO big fan dude awesome vids
This bike even in the xj650j platform will do 120+ mph easy, almost identical to hondas cb motors

The ruff spots ar compression from the pistons and cams you should try to unstuck the gearbox too by pushing the bike slowly in 5th (assuming it has 5 speeds) coz if you manage to start it and you put it in gear it is gonna bust up the gearbox every bearing on this is stuck try truck s battery to start it (yeah it s safe it just does not fit in the bike )

Spark plugs are out so cant build compression ,and can free up gearbox and stuff but by looks of magneto no doubt the bearings or parts of them that havent seen oil in how ever long most likely shot be interesting to see what first oil change after been running looks like

Big recommendation is to soak that thing in PB blaster. You can find it anywhere at any local automotive store!
That thing probably has 112,000 miles, gone round the clock, common for old bikes
Put atf or something obviously rust or something soak it !!!
One of the cells in the battery is low you need to fill it to the full line with distilled water before you charge or use it or you risk damaging the cell that's low.
Put some automatic transmission fluid down the cylinder
I swear I said that he was gonna swap it as soon as he bought it so yay me.

It’s the connection with the battery and wires that are making the battery hot so you have to sand the connections so it’s metal on metal and no corrosion
Electrical contact cleaner works great and wont hurt any rubber
You need to buy a jump pack

That thing needs a rebuild not just ‘clean it up a little’ it won’t last 2 minutes on the nascar how the engine is now it’s fried 😂

Youngster i would go ahead and rebuild the motor but i would put the full hop up package in the motor and a live axle on the back

Heads up mate if it turns whiles the engine is seized it will score the piston rings and gauge the cylinder walls

Full rebuild brother
Put some oil down the cylinder and keep turning it over, get new spark plugs new coils, clean the carbs really good and check your groundings should be running in no time
Hope you don't mind helping me out a bit. 😉 I have a little suzuki Jr 50 that hasn't been running in probably a decade so will I put some two stroke engine oil or just 10w40 4 stroke will it matter? And how much oil to pour down?
(it has a whole new carb)

Fill the cylinders with A bottle of MARVEL MYSTERY OIL THAT STUFF works Miracles
When my dad used to buy manual cars with seized engines he would either push start with another vehicle or pull start them pop the clutch out it would break free and fire right up! Crazy shit but was successful 99% of the time.
Wd40 is super thin it’s a very thin liquid like water you need to put engine oil down the holes not wd40 that will just damage the engine
You should really try to restore the CB 750

Great engine. You can beat on that 750 for days if you keep valves lashed and carbs fat. Spend some time understanding timing, it will save your engine. CycleX has some great parts for your engine. Please don’t call it a motor, it’s not electric.
Im into this. I know what its like to work on these bikes haha I worked on a 1981 cm400 at my school and dynoed it. Ran really lean but there werent any plans for rebuilding the carbs or anything. Good luck with this, I'm definitely gonna be watching!
Does the title say CB 750 or v45 magna because my brother has a 1982 honda v45 magna and the look identical and the battery has the same dumb issue, and they both have a 750 cc v4

Great job migs man keepin it original like you didn’t edit out you struggling & that’s real 💯 but I would say for the engine put automatic transmission fluid in the cylinders & let it sit but all carbs are good unless is a seal broken use sandpaper & wire brushes also remember if you put the fluid to DRAIN it before you actually start it lmao but great video keep me coming
Also on the carburetors you can go really cheap on the Mikuni look alikes on eBay I know a lot of people don't believe it on but that's all I use it's a little bit of play and also you can just Google it and you'll see cheaper versions of new carburetors set of trying to have to fix those fart numbers help to and just remember you don't necessarily have to have the exact same thing to make it work making stuff unique is what makes TH-cam great if you need help just let me know and you can message me on Facebook I'll help you out as much as I can as far as the internet goes I'm great
When one has a stuck engine they usually use Marvel Mystery Oil down in the cylinders and let it sit for a couple hours up to a couple days. Especially on something that rusted. I think this is a much better option than WD-40.
MIGs you should use the pocket bike engine to make either a drift trike or a go kart
You’ve got a bad ground probably bro, follow the negative side of the battery to the frame and super clean and lube the frame ground itself and if it’s not that then you’ve probably got a burned or rat eaten wire making contact with something it shouldn’t.
Good luck man this seems like it's going to be way more work than it's worth you should have just spent a little more money I've been through very similar situation when my buddy was building a buggy trying to get some old bike to run that someone's already screwed with and that sat around forever

Why would u buy a huge motor it isn’t gonna fit you should have invested your money into a pit bike motor or a motor from a dirt bike and it’ll make a huge output of power and their way smaller
You're not getting enough power to the starter , unplug the rectifier and use a car battery to turn it over .clean the carbs , put fresh spark plugs in the bike after you spin the engine over .. use diesel fuel to soak the Pistons .
Try Marvel Mystery Oil, it has worked for me for over forty years, put a couple tablespoons in each cylinder and let it sit a couple days
be careful the rings could be stuck in the ring lands/groves and could score the cylinder walls you might want to tear the top end down to check the rings and pistons it'll save you money later
You have to find a way to cool that engine down if it's going to be and the rear end of that go karts you have to cool it down it's air cooled it there's no air flow into that carts you will burn out your head gaskets blow up your engine so you have to put some kind of exhaust fan in with the go kart to is all blows cold air across the engine please look at this message if you do not you gonna blow up your engine

migs a little heads up WD-40 is water base,meaning if it sits in that engine for a few days it will make the cylinders and pistons rust so maybe try pouring some engine oil down the cylinders and let it sit and try starting it and repeat
My quad dose it all the time when it dies and you try to start it and it just clicks put it in gear and rock it back and fourth and usually that works and if it doesn’t it usually means your battery is dead

Why you dont use youre car to start a engine from youre go kart with starter cables just let te car run en crank over the go kart engine them you dont need to charge those little chitty batteries the hole time en wait for them to charge
It will take him 4 months to even get it in the naskart because he goes over everything 7 times and never really makes progress in his vids

If you fill the cylinders with super glue it will cause any rust to stick to the glue snd then you can just pull it out.

Soak some ATF or marvel mystery oil in the cylinders. It'll break loose all the components
If u let the wd40 sit for a day or so and take the spark plugs out and then try the breaker bare it might work better
