This video is so amazing. I have watched it so many times and keep coming back to study it more! This is note for note accurate and a real breakdown into Glenn Tipton's soloing approach. As a major Peter Green fan who has spent years studying his play style, This solo truly exemplifies his influence to early Priest. Despite them covering Green Manalishi, this specific solo touches more on Peter's playing style than anything else they did. Of every guitarist who cited Peter as an influence, I feel Glenn Tipton is one of them who took that influence and truly evolved it. I go back and rewatch this video a lot when looking for something to expand on playing. Glenn Tipton is truly a genius. The part beginning at 1:39 is so good, Halford did vocal melodies over it. Thank you for these videos, you have no idea how much help it is to anyone wanting to study a player like Tipton.
@@Messihaz Is it so difficult to understand an ironic comment? Instead of writing "Wow, it sounds like Testament covered this", I wrote what I wrote... 😅 Listen to "The Legacy" and then listen to this cover again. Could be both songs of the same album (Souls of Black), I think...
@@refeicoesfsj8500 I was confused because Testament actually has a song called "Dream Deceiver" on their 2020 album but it's not a cover it's an original song haha
Haha thank you So much! I am very pleased. But every thanks should go to Glenn Tipton, who gave us this piece of heaven. Everything Best from Poland! 😊
Shawn Stofko Thank you so much! Every time when I listen to this song, especially to this solo I feel like there's nothing else around me - Just music.
solo jakie byłem w stanie w całości całkiem dobrze zagrać :) niezbyt skomplikowane ale brzmi cudownie... po latach wracam do wiosła, i o dziwo pamięć mięśniowa jeszcze działa
As a player and die hard priest fan for over 35 years that song is top ten for sure...your expression brought a year to my eye. How about giving us the solo work off the Stained Class albumn....beyond the realms of death....and maybe some painkiller too!?!?!!!
Hello there, is that solo a mix of minor pentatonics and natural minor scales? E Minor? I'm pondering working on this solo as it's one of my top fav's from JP.
@@Haplano i think its not too difficult but it needs a lot of feeling. First start to cry (like me) and then play it haha! Seriously - you should learn it, its amazing in every Way.
not only did you nail the notes cleanly but you played it with feel....well done sir!
Great playing and very easy to see where your fingers are. Thank you.
Tipton is criminally underrated! Great job!🤘
Im agree! 😊
No he's not.
Nice playing.
@@kevinmcguinness1113 thank you so much!!! 😊
So dumb. He’s not criminally underrated. Stop being so cliche.
@@kevinmcguinness1113 you got to give him this solo at least

That Judas in blue light looks hypnotic! The album shows him in a hellish red, Very nice cover brother JP for life
Amazing! I didn't know that Testament had covered Dreamer Deceiver and put it as a bonus track on Souls of Black! 😮
Wow, I need to listen to it, thanks
huh? I can't find it anywhere. Are you sure?

Im not good in naming all of this, but im pretty shure you’re right.
@@MaciejStelmach Thanks for the reply Maciej. How do you pronounce your name?
How do you get tone ?
Hey! It's line6 pod studio 😁
WHy no Harmonizer? WHy no delay?
Did you down tune here to E flat?
