Hello Singh, can you make tutorials on locomotion rootmotion in unreal engine which support from 4.27 to 5.4 (by the way I need tutorials above 4.27) please do not ignore this comment... please,,,,,,,
Hi, you mean locomotion using state machines with enabled root motion? And yes I make tutorials on latest Unreal Engine version. Thanks for the comment! 🙂
@@TheEpicSingh Yes, what I mean to say is locomotion using state machines with enabled root motion. When will you make videos on topics of locomotion?
It should be an issue of only my end, but maybe you know why my animation blueprint keeps telling me that attempted to access index 0 from component tags of length 0?
nvm, I seem to fix it already, I try to add tags to every component as I can then the error messages do not show anymore but my character still freezed in T-pose, so I went back to check again and set the original mesh to use ABP_SandboxCharacter, now my character has animation and no more error messages, even I remove other added tags. Not sure why but this may help someone.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear you were able to fix the issue. Sometimes Unreal Engine can be a bit tricky with these kinds of errors, especially when it comes to animation blueprints. Your solution might definitely help others facing a similar problem. If you run into any more issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
Can confirm restarting editor can fix that.
Can it work with 4.27?
Hello! The new motion matching system is only available for version 5.4 at the moment. However, if you're looking to implement custom characters in Unreal 4.27, you'll need to retarget the skeletons. There are several tutorials available online for this process, but if you need assistance, I'm happy to help!
How do Wukong tails match? It doesn't work
Yes, the wukong tail is stiff and static, I haven't checked the rig of the tail, surely a layer can be added for the tail to be animated.
I'll be creating a tutorial video for animation layering in the future.
Thanks for watching! 🙂

Please check this new tutorial video where the wukong tail animation has been added.
Thanks!
Everything just looks like Fortnite 🙄
Hi, the tutorial is about motion matching on custom characters, nothing was changed visually. Although potentially a realistic environment and character can be used and rendered in Unreal real-time. Lemme know if you want to learn how to achieve that, I could make a tutorial for the same.
Thanks! 🙂
U havent edited Ur video a bit no cuts so much bullcrap just get STRAIGHT TO THE POINTTTTTTTTT
Appreciate your support! Thanks!
unreal instructor aint mean shit nowadays

Thanks! 🙂
Sir does this system works for character outside ue5 example cc4 characters
Hi, unless the retargeting is done properly, it should work for characters outside UE5, including CC4 characters.
