The Wacom One is a display/screen tablet, model name DTC-133, whereas the CTL-472 is named "One by Wacom". Also, it would be good if you could remove the Hawku drivers from the description, as they are deprecated and rely on stuff that has been broken for years and will likely never get fixed. And even if they do happen to work, most of the features of the driver are broken in some way, and just in general worse than OTD. Good video!
I got this one in january 2020 after playing osu! since april 2018, my playtime up till that point consisted mostly of: getting to understand the basics somewhat --> fucking around a LOT with relax mod --> last months of 2019 where I started to become a dirty pp farmer. Safe to say, the tablet was a little difficult at first, but after only 2 or 3 days I started picking up the pace and my aim was already back at its original level, albeit a little less consistent. Now, in april of 2022, I am still using this same exact tablet that I've been using since january 2020. The only thing for me is the pen nibs, I think I got 4 in total with the purchase, one already in the pen and 3 spares (or 4 in a plastic and not 1 already in the pen, its been 2 years). The issue is that if you press (semi)hard into the tablet, they wear out FAST. But if you can just lightly drag it across, or hover of course, that is not really an issue unless we are speaking of a long term use of 5+ years and even then, you could buy new pen nibs. All in all, in my experience its also been an amazing tablet and I seem to have made an amazing choice while I was looking for a (somewhat) cheap tablet.
This is a fantastic review of a fantastic tablet. The 472 is very versatile, it's up to you whether you want no smoothing, a little smoothing or a lot, you can tweak it how you like. 😁
I've been a mouse player for a year or so and my level is starting to, well, level out So thanks for this review, if someday I buy a tablet for osu I'll probably take that one!
@@alexzsecondchannel8386no, in the end I figured that I really like playing with my mouse even though I don't seem to get that much better but at least I'm having a blast. And I feel like being a mouse player is cool

Thanks for watching. I'll schedule a video revolving around tablet modding for tablet covers and pen grip. By the time I get the items it would be too late by then. You should be able to do it no problem, it's simple and not really possible to mess up

hello sir, I have lost the pen of the same Wacom CTL 472 tablet now I want to get a separate pen, which pen will be compatible with it please help bcz right now I cant buy it full again
This is the first tablet that I bought to switch from mouse to tablet. Overall, it's a great tablet but I personally prefer the XPEN G640 for 2 main reasons. First reason is that for me the CTL 472 is a little bit too tall, it would have been better if it was slightly inclined like the CTH 480 or just thin like the G640. Second reason is that I don't like the surface material of the CTL 472 compared to the G640. Yes I know that you can put a skin on it but that's an additional cost. The pen of CTL 472 is better tho in my opinion cause it feels less slippery than the G640 pen. Also I feel like the CTL 472 is more "stable" in terms of AIM than the G640 but it feels slower than the G640 even with the open tablet driver.
@@Dr.Kreijger really heavy smoothing, its so much so that its close to huion h420. Also they reduced the RPS. This rev A&B thing happened in 2020 so if you purchased before, there is no need to worry. (If you did purchase in 2020 or after, its a coin flip, idk how you can check which one you got but you can google that one)
@@mikatsuno Okay so I made my researches and actually XP-Pen is now selling again the old version so the rev A after a lot of people complained about the issues with the rev B.
I am lost with how to configure this... I took the medium one and god it's annoying, I can't get used to the pen, the sensitivity, the way it just always keeps working when it's in the air, I can't find how to deactivate that... I feel like I missed something
A cheaper option that works just fine in my opinion is xppen g430 or g640 albeit 2nd gen has hardware smoothing of sorts and overall the pen included is somewhat basic
I bought this tablet on Amazon and I like to play on fast sensitivity so when I make the width and height on open tablet driver lower like around 30, the mouse starts to shake fast without me moving it and just having the pen hover over the tablet. How do I fix this?
Hey when i choose area it still uses full area waht could be the issue? I didnt install wacom drivers and most of the times it seems to be issue :/ im literally stuck rn
pen is lightweight so it's easier to move around when you lift it. Combine that with the 10mm reading height and 0 input latency, it performs just as it should when compared to dragging.
I disagree, Gaomon s620 is a better and cheaper option overall. Both has no hardware smoothing (if gaomon does have some it is little to none, and most people already add smoothing on ctl472 from the drivers) plus gaomon has a higher rps, resulting in a smoother feedback. Like how 1000hz mouses feel smoother. I'm surprised you didnt mention this because wacom has 133rps while gaomon has 260/300 (not exactly sure which) This was all objective specs, now lets get to subjective. Gaomon has a mid-level friction on its surface, while ctl472 has low friction. Depending on your preference and if you drag, this is a pretty big selling point. Also, wacom's pen is WAY thinner, which I personally very dislike. Also Gaomon's pen has a little silicon part at the tip which helps slightly more with your grip (I still use tennis grip tape on every pen so the silicon doesnt matter that much, but the thickness of pen matters.) And most importantly price. Gaomon is piss cheap. That's all I had to say.
gaomon s620 has hardware smoothing however I hear the pen nibs for the 472 wear out really fast unlike the gaomon pen nibs, so probably cheaper in the long run too to get the s620
Hey ace, quick question. Since the 472 is currently on sale on Amazon, so you think it’s worth it for me to get even tho I already own both the 480 and 680?
