Want an aggressive tune for the track and a mild one for the street? Want to change the characteristics of your rev limiter as you are driving? How about setting up as many as 12 different target boost levels? It's all possible with this rotary trim module and in this video, Matt shows you how to make this magic happen! Enjoy:) -- Got a topic you'd like us to cover? Leave it in the comments section!
Absolutely - go to Setup - Speed Control and choose "Right Lane Hog". Then tick the "Straw Hat" option. If you have your car horn connected to the ECU you can also choose from a number of pre-set sounds: "Ya flamin' Gallah!", "Ya bloody mongrel" or "Struth, the youff nowadays..." Any problems - please contact our Tech Support and ask for Alf.
As a certified old fart (still living in the 1980s in many ways) it blows my mind what people are designing & using. Love these explainer videos, I get to see what the smart go-fast folk are doing. Keep on keeping on Haltech, brilliant vidoes. Nothing to dislike here, giving people simple options that were once (not all that long ago...well in my lifetime anyway) far fetched ridiculous dreams. Brilliant.
I'm glad I found this. I almost bought a Stack Boost Controller ST3412 while I have eventual plans to upgrade to a programmable ECU like the Haltech ones. Looks like I will only need the Stack Boost Gauge ST3112. Thanks!
I'm stuffing an LT3 (5th Gen) I've had custom built into a Datsun 240Z. Though the LT4 has boost, it's done with a supercharger (not turbos). While I intend to only use it for road trips to Las Vegas, sometimes I may want to just cruise around town, making a spectacle of myself. Ideally, I'd want efficiency on the wide open highways, and a few pops and crackles to make the rides around town more...interesting. Perhaps, I'd want an anti-theft feature, also. The only way I can think of doing this with my particular engine (due to the supercharger) is to limit the fuel to the engine (lower power/greater efficiency) for long trips (without limiting RPMs), then increasing the fuel to the engine when I want to show off that 8-peice ensemble under the hood. I'd also may want to create a "valet mode" (but, less for the valet than to keep my wife from learning JUST HOW MUCH power she's sitting on) by limiting the actual RPMs the engine can turn. Have I misunderstood this video, or are you trying to tell me this unit will give me some control over both actions? If so, can a regular engine tuner set that up, or will I need to learn to do it myself?
A set of complementary steak knives with every Nexus purchase would be a great deal. You know the ones that have a flat end so that they double as a screwdriver
Don't mind this but what is the fail safe if the voltage cuts or randomly spikes? Can you configure something like must see X voltage for Y milliseconds before doing Z.
Where do I find information on how many rotary knobs I can add to my Haltech Elite ECU? I just bought 2 rotary knobs thinking I can just wire them into spare AVI’s but I can only open up 1 “rotary trim 1” function?
With this can you have a tune at 10 psi for reliability and so you ain’t gon blow your motor and when you wanna go see Jesus but it on a tune in the 25psi range is thay a thing
@@haltech Do you guys have a video on customizing the IC7 dash? I watched most every IC7 video I can find but cant find much about how much I can customize the different screens.
I'm having problems with the settings on my trim knob. The voltage keeps changing. For example I'll have the knob set to setting 1 and on the ecu it'll read setting 3. Once the car starts after a few minutes it changes to setting 5, while the position still being in 1.

Can I set up a tune for driving to the RSL for Sunday night bingo?

@@haltech you've sold me. Can't wait to turn the bingo tune on, in my Kingswood.
what about traction control ?
Yes can use this switch to switch between different levels of traction control.

Brilliant.
Its like..... you read my mind today! Wondered all day about if I made my own if I could calibrate the voltage levels. Thanks for the info!
You're welcome:)
This reminds me of how the Yaris GR is mapped with 26 psi to get you up to power, but after that it limits you to 15-18 psi to maintain its thrust.

Can’t wait till the can keypad is available for the elite range
In case you didn't hear! It is!

Can i use this to switch between two different tunes, for example a nitrous tune and a non nitrous tune for driving around on the street. cheers
Yes.
No! I want a Matt for the track and one for the street ;)
Can you still do this if you are running flex fuel with variable boost according to ethanol content?

Man I want like a keypad that if you enter in certain code you can go stupidly fast like a cheat code in a game :p
Well I'm sold. Even without the steak knife's!

Thanks 🙏 🙏🙏🙏
With two 12 position knobs do you get 24 selections or 144?
144 options :)
Would love to find someone to install one of these on my car
Compatible with platinum pro series in future?
It is compatible Platinum Pros.

Can any of the Haltech ecu's use this function or only specific ones
Could it also be possible to cover the blow off valve when running low boost and open the bov when using high boost
A sequential bov is what you're looking for, Hks super sequential is made so when it's below say 15psi it flutters but at full 20psi is blows off.
👍
When can we use the ic7 up down buttons for this?
It's something our tech dept is looking into but we don't have a timeline for this feature at this stage.

The Oklahoma license plate from the 405?
Yes:)

Where is it getting it’s 5v ref from ?
Can the ic7 do this instead?
Not currently
Matt, can I use that Rotary switch in a Mazda to go from RX-7 to RX-8? Or does it need a CAN-bus link added in? ;)
Can you plug this straight into the map sensor on a Haltech elite 2000
