Yaesu FT5D vs FT3D Audio Performance

Is the FT5D audio really that better than the FT3D? Well we will find out in a un-scientific way! Drive my car and listen to it while driving. Previously I did a video on the audio quality between the FT3D and the VX-6, and I thought the VX-6 did a way better job in audio, check out that video - • Yaesu FT3D vs VX-6 Aud... .
Either way, it will be up to you to decide if the audio does sound better. I can only tell you what my observation was when driving.

I could definitely hear a difference between 'em, even in the first test. Time for a shootout now between the FT5DR and the VX6?

I would say they are even. I don’t have the vx6 with me. I gave it to a good friend of mine. He is enjoying it. I’m glad he has it.

I can hear the difference B louder and sounds like a Chinese DMR radio.
