I’d say the benefit to watching the stop and start ones is we get to see the outcome of each step. But I do enjoy the way you make videos. To each their own.
That's right. Each to their own. I mean when a Turner says they have 20mm to remove and make 2 cuts and stop to check the depth and keep checking it. That's lack of confidence in turning. Just my opinion.
You just measure up how far down you want your hat to be, mark it with the line, then how big your head will be, mark it with the line and then how big the body will be. With experience you get to know just by eye how deep you need everything to be. You just make these as big as you like, depending on the size of wood you have. I had to go by the size of wood I had. Thanks for watching.
This is adorable. I hope you don't mind if I copy you. You got my imagination going wild. I see a snow man, a ghost, all sorts of things in my future hahah. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

I have watched a few of your videos now, and I see in every one that you touch your work piece while its turning. That will hurt you one of these days. You should never touch a work piece while its turning
Thank you for your concern. As I have mentioned in my previous videos I am a professional Turner of over 40 years experience and I turn every day. Touching the wood whilst it's turning, is not a problem. How you touch it, is what's important. It hasn't bitten me in over 40 years, so I'm not going to worry about it now. What I have noticed in a lot of videos I have watched, s a lot of people pushing sharpened pieces of metal into spinning pieces of wood and getting catches. Your time and concern could be better spent helping them, before they help themselves.
With a different ‘paint make-over’ he’s a lovely Frosty the Snowman. A great turning, as per usual.
The snowman has also been recently done. keep watching. More videos to catch up on. Lol
Cool

The great thing about those is any that you don't sell for Halloween. You can paint them white and sell them as snowmen.

Forstner bits are for side grain and shark tooth bits for end grain. I was using a shark tooth bit when I was drilling
Make sure you are using the correct speed. Often times people use too high of speed with Forstner bits.
How much do you charge for each pumpkin
You charge whatever you think it's worth to you. Sorry I don't discuss how much I charge.
Another great idea. How do you stop the tealight from falling out the bottom, is it just the snug fit?
Yes, it's a snug fit Neil. Thanks for watching.
Quick question. Is there a reason you didnt wait until it’s all turned to drill out the eyes & nose & mouth?
Why would I? No reason.
Drill holes before turning so it sits flat on table and piece won't try to roll around
