Nice video. I just did a carb cleaning on my S40 last fall. Mine wasn't as thorough as yours, though. I just cleaned the jets on the top and bottom. Didn't take that little side panel off. Cleaned the diaphram and spring tube but didn't take it apart to the extent you did though. Also didn't replace any parts. Just cleaned everything and put it back together. Then again, my carb was in really good shape, hardly dirty at all. Probably didn't even really need cleaning to be honest but I didn't know that until I had it taken apart lol. Just knew the bike was stalling all the time. Turns out it was probably a bad petcock. Looks like yours already has the petcock replaced, which is good. BTW, that silver tube at 3:40 is the speedometer cable. Also, the part at 6:42 that you move up and down and wonder if it's good or bad that it moves (looks like two brass drums), that is the "float". Definitely want that to move. That's what regulates gas flow into the float bowl at bottom of carb. As the float bowl fills up, the drums get lifted up until they cut off gas flow from the tank. Then as the gas in the float bowl gets used the float lowers until eventually it opens gas flow from the tank again and cycle repeats.
You pointed at the top of the carb and said this is your float 😂 the floats in the bottom bit bro check some basic facts before posting yourself making up ish for poor fools to believe
what you call the floats are actually the jets the large brass piece is the float
Shawn Robles 🙏🏽 thank you
