I'm a Londoner born and bred. But now I've been living in Liverpool for the last 22 years. Liverpool is THE best city in the UK. It has the best people there are, and I wouldn't live any where else YNWA
They're the nicest in UK I also think too ik I've only been there once but I've seen so many documentaries on how the people are in Liverpool poverty doesn't mean a place is automatically shit
Of course he is confused City is a passionless soulless club so they are not used to other clubs singing and being passionate for their respective clubs....
I was a guest in the great city of Liverpool (home of football and music) when my hometeam KRC Genk played LFC. It was my best memory of an away game. Great city, great ambiance, great football. I love LFC till I die!
I work in both Manchester and Liverpool and I can tell you the liverpublians are much more genuine and polite and don't have any snobbery. Even our lads from Manchester agree
I know plenty of Man United fans that go to Old Trafford by train having booked a hotel in Liverpool. They will not stay in Manchester. My mate who is a Man United fan went to Liverpool on his stag. That proves it, Liverpool is better than Manchester. I know another Man United fan that loves Liverpool the city.
I'm Glasgow born and bred snd i LOVE Liverpool, the people and the city. Glasgow has a great relationship with the city especially with the number of world class players that have graced that iconic club.
I live in the U.S. (Washington D.C. area) My family and I went to see Liverpool game twice. Both times we enjoyed walking around and eating in any restaurant. We even talked with strangers. We want to visit again soon!
I am from asia and visited Liverpool for the first time a couple of years ago. I would like to testify that everyone I met while I was there for the week was so so ultra friendly and one thing I noticed they had a wonderful sense of humour. I am not a millionaire...but even I saw that Pep understood the song as scouse banter and that was the reason why he was emboldened to show the 6 fingers.
Special moments: 1. Liverpool stifling for 20mins 2. Liverpool handling entire game 3. Gomez performing like he already played the entire season. 4. Quansah playing RB like he knows it. 5. Luchos No look pass 6. Kelleher save at the end to top it off.
I've been to the Republic of Liverpool many many times & scouse is more than an identity...it's a way of life. Salt of the earth super friendly working class people. Can't wait to return in March next year. And a little word of advice to the manc second fiddle keeper...money can't buy you love or class mate.
Jim, I hope you all pass them in the league Table, United is a proper team with history and real fans! LFC and Man U forever true rivals not money bought!
Pep has always enjoyed the Anfield atmosphere, as much as you can as an opposing manager. The fans where having a bit of fun with him and I loved his reaction.
When i was 15 i visited anfield with my mate on the train for liverpoolv leeds we won 3 1 murphy hit a beautiful freekick after we had to wait till 11 45 for a coach home so qe waited in a pub and everyone in the pub looked after us, played pool with us got us a few drinks just brilliant down to earth people
Someone told me Stefan is probably not the best Keeper at Man City. The good news for them is that David Moyes is available to take over from Pep and I believe he is good enough to keep them up.
LFC has done so much for the City of Liverpool, during the Cities hardest times, inclusive of all the way back to the begining of their footballing life as a club, in fact Everton as much as it pains to me mention them has done more for the City of Liverpool throughout history along side Liverpool FC than Man City every did for their city. Politics aside Ortega wouldnt even know the history of Manchester, his own City, and their struggles and bad towns, the poverty, post war, pre Alex Ferguson, their own historties. he is irrelevent, as he was on the pitch.
Walking around Liverpool City centre over the years I've bumped into Houllier, Benitez and Klopp. So many players too, current and former. It's a special City which you can only appreciate if you've travelled elsewhere. Unfortunately there are too many Ortega's in the World who confuse their wealth for moral superiority. I wonder if they venture out of their mansions on their days off in fear of confronting people and places they've " been told about " . What a sad way to live.
Who gives a shot what he thinks. Can’t believe Guardiola and his players are upset about it. Guardiola was hated by Madrid supporters and I’m sure he got a lot more abuse from their supporters. When is all said and done he works for a dictatorship with a terrible human rights record. He deserves a lot less respect than he is actually given.
An overpaid PL reserve goalkeeper mocking the economic position of normal working class people. Classy. The irony of course is that in 2024 Liverpool is easily the nicest major English city centre to walk around, I'd choose it over London, Birmingham, Manchester etc any day of the week!
Liverpool has some run down districts. It also has a thriving city centre and many prosperous, leafy suburbs. Manchester has some run down districts. It also has a thriving city centre and many prosperous, leafy suburbs. Where is the big difference Mr self appointed arbiter of nice and not nice Ortega? And by the way football in the UK is a working class game. It's not played in Ascot and Henley on Thames at the highest level.
I’m from Liverpool. Couple of shit areas. Like every city. But the most beautiful, friendly and exceptional city as a whole in the UK. Manchester is exactly the same. As I lived there for a few years
Oregano blubbering through his tears. LFC fans humour is legendary right back to the 60s....Gary Sprake..." Careless Hands" anyone? A German with no sense of humour? Never!
Every City in the country should take offence to someone in his position coming and saying this. We all know people living in poor areas - do you think they want to be there? (actually a lot do because they love where they're from) I'm sure we'd all love to live in the nicest areas of our country but unfortunately we all can't, a lot of those are reserved for people like Ortega making scandalous amounts of money per week. FYI, I absolutely love where I live in Liverpool and wouldn't live anywhere else! I've never moved further than 1 mile from where I was born.
Well said Craig from a kid in lpool and yes what a gobshite 💯👊🤝 might be few trophies in cupboard again for the reds this year slots appining this season and you keep us informed live from Ireland ✌️💯👊❤️ keep up the good work 🤝✌️
Craig I think you said the most hurtful comment at the end mate 😂 but I do love a good Irish stew. We can say they are as good as each other and leave it there 👍 As for the other comments us Liverpool people, fans, know who we are, where we come from and how got there, history and facts don't lie. YNWA
It like the words of Gerry Marsden in the song Ferry Across the Mersey the line goes “we don’t care what name is boy we’ll never turn you away” We in Liverpool are a friendly bunch and give everyone a warm welcome if you come and visit. Ortega is just prick for saying what he did.
I'm a United fan and I have no idea why this is even being talked about. It's one thing when fans make chants mocking tragedies or incidents wherefans get killed, this is just typical banter and rivalry you see at every game.
Correct - Pep gave as good as he got. It appears he knows that rival fans will slag you off occasionally. Ortega on the other hand is a complete tampon, absorbing all the slagging and refusing to let it go.
Don't care what they say, I still rate and respect Pep highly. He's a damned good coach, character and man, and he WASN'T sacked this morning either! Banter, that's all. City fans would have chanted the exact same if roles had been reversed.
Having had a parent live in both Liverpool and Manchester, i know where i enjoyed staying and the one i would avoid going to like the plague and it ain't Liverpool, the culture of the place is endless, The only good thing about Manchester is the road out ! PS i thought the 6 fingers were how many times Liverpool have won the European cup ! 🤣🤣🤣
Mate, if you give, you have to take . You can't start crying when someone gives it back. "No one going to slag Liverpool on my watch." paĺ pull the sleeves down and shake the head
He doesn't even understand what banter mean, Pep give a 6 finger is quite funny, Liverpool fans respect him 😂 so some ppl like Ortega don't know so can't blame him but at very least learn the banter thing
We should of shown him 6 back as a come back, for 6 Champions leagues. should of sang out 19 league titles you've got 13 to go, could go on but i doubt any Manc is in here watching this to tell em lol.
Simon Jordan attacking Liverpool fans about sack in the morning chant but saying nothing about what that city keeper said that a evil man Jordan is pathetic little man
Remember what anfield did for ronaldo? If you deserve respect you get respected. Some people can take banter some dont. Pep said about himself ironically that he might should get sacked. Oh and manchester isnt far away of liverpool. what was he thinking xD Ortega is a bum
I'm a Londoner born and bred. But now I've been living in Liverpool for the last 22 years. Liverpool is THE best city in the UK. It has the best people there are, and I wouldn't live any where else YNWA
Liverpool is an Irish colony! Go figure the rest scockney!
They're the nicest in UK I also think too ik I've only been there once but I've seen so many documentaries on how the people are in Liverpool poverty doesn't mean a place is automatically shit
Ortega just witnessed singing from fans for the first time and is confused
😂😂😂
Of course he is confused City is a passionless soulless club so they are not used to other clubs singing and being passionate for their respective clubs....
It's hard to hear the crowd from the dugout.
Hahahah
Liverpool may not be the greatest place in the UK, but Manchester is no paradise.
It was banter and hilarious, even Pep was smiling
yea, everyone just took the piss is all
I was a guest in the great city of Liverpool (home of football and music) when my hometeam KRC Genk played LFC. It was my best memory of an away game. Great city, great ambiance, great football. I love LFC till I die!
As a Scouser who lives in Liverpool thanks for fighting our corner Craig
And as always you're spot on YNWA
The people of Liverpool are very friendly
Even Pep admitted he was shocked but it's just banter in a very difficult game so it is what it is.
I live not far from Eithiad, and believe me, it's no fking Mayfair.
I work in both Manchester and Liverpool and I can tell you the liverpublians are much more genuine and polite and don't have any snobbery. Even our lads from Manchester agree

Yeah that was me !

Cujo pulled off some wild skill during the "ole!" moments at the end.
7. VVD making Haaland look like he plays for Luton.
Liverpool is the best and most beautiful city in the UK
When they chant about tragedy they don't bat an eye but chant about sacked in the morning and it's the end of the world
Has he not looked around Manchester lately 🤣🤣🤣
I can't wait until we play a proper team 😂😂
Yeah the real test will be when we play Liverpool... oh wait.😀
I've been to the Republic of Liverpool many many times & scouse is more than an identity...it's a way of life.
Salt of the earth super friendly working class people.
Can't wait to return in March next year.
And a little word of advice to the manc second fiddle keeper...money can't buy you love or class mate.
I think Pep was a gentleman to put up 6 fingers at anfield. He was reminding us all that he has LOST 6 games out of 7 😂
He was also congratulating us on our 6 European Cups!
@ what a gem he is! 😃 the man that just doesn’t stop giving joy!
😂😂😂
So... What was he expecting to hear? It's a banter!! It's a banter on a very competitive match!! Jesus Christ these people...
He’s not used to fans singing banter mate he’s used to library level silence
@@hayestan9321so you can banter about their crowd but they can't say any banter about you
Not the best area in the UK for City getting results (the red side anyway)
It beats Manchester 😊
Well said Craig, Iam a man united fan and Iam cheering for you.
Jim, I hope you all pass them in the league Table, United is a proper team with history and real fans! LFC and Man U forever true rivals not money bought!
@@ronpatel6640 We’ll get GTA 6 before they pass us in the league table 😂😂😂
@@viksinha5410 they are 4 points behind you 🤣 and gta 6 is next year so...
@@viksinha5410😂😂😂 you'll be playing in league one where you belong no need for united to pass you. They're already 10x bigger than you.
@@Tech_Parody Exactly, so that means they won’t be passing us this year

Just ask Ronaldo what he thinks of the people of Liverpool. He knows
This

So many stories like this from away fans, too. That’s why we are proud to be associated with this club.
He should go and spend an hour in Picadilly gardens in Manchester.
Or try and last an hour in Piccadilly Gardens. 🙂
Manchester is such a Utopia tho especially Crackadilly Gardens
Ortega wants to have a walk around Piccadilly Gardens on a night time!
Well said Craig! YNWA! Canada!
Ortega : 2-3 season, 34 appearances including 8 in Premier League.. what a joke
Someone told me Stefan is probably not the best Keeper at Man City. The good news for them is that David Moyes is available to take over from Pep and I believe he is good enough to keep them up.
Its a shame that Ortega could not react quick enough in goal 😆
I'm from the States. Was in Liverpool in May, attended Jurgen's last match. Wonderful City, wonderful people. Don't listen to idiots like Ortega.
He’s German. The word ‘Banter’ doesn’t exist in their language
Also the word humour ☝️
Remember Tuco’s advice to those who talk too much (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) - “When you have to shoot, shoot! Don’t talk!”
As a smug Canadian who’s been to Liverpool, i can say it and the people there are as good as anyplace here. YNWA.

Breaking News: Man City realize what banter is for the first time 😂
This soulless club never ceases to amaze me..
He's German- what do you expect? 🤷🏽♀🤷🏽♀ Visited Liverpool in 2023- loved it! Liverpool ONE Central Station - can't wait to return soon.

I dont think he realises how bad Manchester is😂😂

They call us bin dippers but last time I dipped a bin in Manchester I found a family of 4 living in it 😉
It's banter lad pep took it quite well to be fair
The ironic thing is Manchester is in the same boat. I could show him some sites that would change his mind.
Surely this is a matter for the FA to look into bringing game into disrepute...and a full apology
He can pick his dummy up from the lost and found bin

We LOVE Liverpool!
City’s most effective player yesterday was the ref, we were totally dominant majority of game, despite how much city have spent and cheated.
Somebody should write a song about the people and city of Liverpool. We would call it “Ferry ‘cross the Mersey’ or something like that.

It is banter ffs Ortega. You must be a hit at parties.
