Amen. Simple yet elegant. They didn't need all the fake crap we are bombarded with now. This is when it was just ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC. It didn't need the fancy, fake, whatever you wanna call it kind of crap, bc the music was ENOUGH. I'm not saying there isn't ANY good music out these days. There is, and there's plenty I like. But I also miss the days of this, Just Simple, Just Elegant.. And if ya couldn't tell from my own longggg post above, I'm just kinda in love with this song......and with Don (The Eagles!!) And Trisha! okkk maybe more than kinda....... lol
And speaking of IN LOVE with and showing skill, MAJOR SKILL, I loveeee your profile picture! Now HE WAS THE MAN!!!!! I was soooo fortunate my Mom & Dad, though divorced, still took me to see Elvis when I was 8 yrs old, in Indpls In, at Market Square Arena, July 1977. I dont remember all of it, but I remember quite a bit, enough that it had a major effect on me. Sooo very sadly tho, my 1st concert was his last.
My Mom (my whole family) was devastated and cried and cried. My Dad prob did too, but not in front of me. Oh what a terrible, unexpected shock that was to the world, the most famous man, the famous singer, gone at only 42. We were fornuate enough several yrs later to visit Graceland once. Would give anything if I could take my Mom back again.
I'm now 52 and my Mom will be 75 in a cpl wks and we STILL talk about missing Elvis. She resides in a nursing home now, and that breaks my heart more than anything! But she's got a smart phone and doesn't know how to use everything on it, but she's got earbuds, she KNOWS how to find her TH-cam and her Elvis, and it delights her that she can listen to him any ol time she wants to!! She may be turning 75, but on her good days you wouldn't know it, as she's in her room rockin out to her Elvis!! I can only imagine what some people must think when they walk by her room and probably think....awww that poor lady.....IF they only knew!!!

We may have different ideas of what a duet is and that's OK. I wouldn't consider this a duet because Don didn't have his own verse to sing the melody on. He only provided harmony through the whole song. He still nailed it though.
Such a beautiful song & even better with Henly harmonizing. I wish I could sing even half that well.

That's two SINGERS right there, with great musicians behind them...their voices tell the story, with no need to add overpowering music to cover up a lack of talent..
When you put these two together on one stage, it was bound to be great!

I loved Don Henley in the 80’s up in the Colorado mountains of glenwood springs and Aspen when I was 18. I got to hear them all play. Jackson, so many.

Naw... Garth can't touch this. Garth is 'twangy'. Don's high pitch carries the song higher. Love it love it.
