I think my new play list is going to be nothing but mors' videos. Every time I watch, I learn something new, for a different application than I did in the past

Thank you for sharing. I saw your other videos on the survival scarf. I custom made a scarf that is about 2.2M x 1M with a mosquito window, a dual sided YKK zipper for the door, triple stitched opening at the ends for ropes as well as loops on the four corners. Although it is bulky, it is a scarf, a quilt, a mosquito headnet, a survival shelter as I can easily fit inside it, a hammock and a tarp. I take it our with me on long hikes in the tropics in case I need to rest or if it rains. Thank you for your inspiration.

Lars Fält came up with the idea of a netted Survivalbag, to be used as a headcover for mosquitos and snowmelting/water cleaning device. I have one myself....

I'd thought as far as one a little bigger than an old potato sack to replace the hessian sacks you used to get and use as, yes a sack, two as a bed/stretcher and especially as a seat at the end of the day but I'd never thought anywhere near this amount of potential uses, fantastic stuff!!

I like the Tom Roycroft size scarf. Simply because its a lightweight way to make a pillow out in the bush.

Probably won't get much work done this weekend because I'll be binge watching right here.

    Thanks muchly for this!
So many how2 videos fail because they drone on & on in order to fill the time while demonstrating, often repeating themselves because they don't have anything useful to say. So, i often tune out & just watch.
This is how it's done folks!
With Mors, i pay rapt attention to every word. He doesn't waste words, explains simply & directly. With his knowledge, anything else he wants to add, i want to hear. I especially like his personality/character, he doesn't really like to toot his own horn, as he says, unlike so many self-serving survival specialists [who shal remain nameless]. But, he'll be the first to toot somebody else's when it matters.
I want him to adopt me as his granddaughter! Somehow, i think i'll just have to settle for sharing a nationality & be thankful to UTube for access to him.

What are your ideas about using an oversized poncho with mosquito netting sown in on the inside? Throw up an a-frame tarp over that and make a rope hammock? Add a Dakota fire pit and stay nice and during cold nights

A very interesting concept, however when pre filtering water or for use as a bandage nylon is one of the worst.

I had to revisit, because for the life of me, I can't seem to find this brown scarf with the black mosquito net sewn in, anywhere. Can Mors, or anybody at Karamat help with any info? Great piece of gear. Peace y'all

I know what you mean W.S., i have a fantasy that he was one of my uncles & i had the privilege & blessing to have had a lifetime of being exposed to his wisdom & self-assurance. Even if i had no interest in bushcraft.
But, i'd be really happy to have just discovered his existence a few years [OK, several years] B4 i turned 60 instead of at 59. Even though it's always been an interest, i've had few occasions or opportunities to experience more than a bit of rough camping infrequently. I'm sure knowing about him at a younger age would have definitely motivated me to get out there.

    • @Roarmeister2

It appears to be surplus parachute fabric. The functionality appears to be similar to a shemagh.
