Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. It is very helpful for those who have no experience with MasterCAM or any other drawing program. Very easy to follow.
This is just perfect, I am using Mastercam 2023 learning edition (can't generate actual g-code with it) and this still translates well for the new software. I can't thank you enough!
sir, I like your way of teaching mastercam..!!! please do post more videos relating to Turning and milling ( mastercam & manual programme writing) .. please do share some shortcuts and easy tips in CNC and mastercam programming. Thanks a lot.. please do post videos like this..gud luck sir
thanks for the video. I learned how to use GibbsCam on my own. Iam glad I can learn Mastercsm by watching some videos instead. Are you going to show how to do a type 2 g71 cycle at some point? when I try it on mastercam. the tool path looks like it will cut in to the geometry of the part. but the posted file looks like it is programed correctly. I am just wondering what i am doing wrong
Make sure that the geometry you selected is trimmed. Check to make sure you only have one tool path in your geometry tab in your operation. The main thing you need to look for is that the entities you select are connected to each other.
+Tom Stikkelman Everything is trimmed, I clicked OK before I put the face parameters in and I got no error, went back in and did the face parameters and noticed the "Use Stock" option had 0.04 under it. I think that's fixed it. Thanks for the fast reply Tom.
First of all thank you sir I like your master cam tutorial how select turn and mill mechine. Then how save AutoCAD drawing step file and how open in Master CAM please teach me I follow your tutorial please continue like this give your mail id. thank you
your videos are very good but your voice is smooth like a night time radio jockey which makes it hard to hear in a shop. I don't know what you might do about it
It's good but even something more difficult I could've written it quicker manually on the pc and transferred it to the CNC. CNC programmers need to firstly learn to be engineers then write a program from breaking down and studying the part drawing. I'll do a video soon on a complex part I wrote manually which would've taken an age to design and do using this program.
One last thing, I'd rather spend $10k on tools than drawing software. Learn to use your machines, you'll feel more of an achievement holding a part you wrote the program for rather than a piece of software did.

I use Mastercam for mills and this is the first time I've tried to program for lathes with Mastercam and you made it seem so easy thank you.

Hello Jack. That is the amount of stock that is left on the Z and X axis after the rough operation is complete. Let me know if that helps

Great tutorial, thank you sir.
Excellent, Thanks!
Thank you! Watched it :)

Yes sir. I will cover that in this series. Thanks
Awsome, thanks alot!
Can i have the NC code? im having demo version so i cant generate the Gcodes.
So im letting you know this one helps a lot. Are you focusing on lathes only or maybe there is a chance we will see similiar video about milling ?

Milling will also be covered in this series. Thanks for the feedback. Tom
Hi there, good videos! could you please show us how to draw an external or internal thread on 3D

Mastercam x5 canned cycle program (I'd, OD, face, back) not change shape can you solve problems
Hi Tom, when I create the first toolpath I get "Error making toolpath." Any ideas why? I used your settings exactly but I'm using X9.

Hi there, good videos! could you please show us how to draw an external or internal thread on 3D
Might be a silly remark/question, but I don't see where you got -10 on the 180 deg to make it 170....
thx for your help
Mastercam is so primitive in geometry creation. I am very thankful for Solidworks with Mastercam plug-in. This is a crazy trip back to 1985.
thanks you so much
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Thanks
Milling , please ?
Thanks.
thank you :)
Please, put something on Boring and internal Grooving.
Hi would you be interested in making couple programs for me? I need those right away.. thanks
