I didn't watch many soap operas, but being born 1973 I certainly watched all of my children one year in 1983 or 84. Then ten years later I moved in with the girlfriend who love that show and we look together and she videotaped all of that and I got the watch or listen to what I wanted to too. As Chicago sang. "Old Days" ( before DC got the Nats all we had was the Orioles 40 miles north and HTS Network used to play a great commercial promoting their broadcast of most of their home schedule)
KEITH: Elaine. you don't know the first thing about first base. ELAINE: ha ha well I know something about getting to first base. And I know you'll never be there. KEITH: The way I figure it I've already been there and I plan on rounding second tonight at around eleven o'clock.
Less than 2200 hits, less than 200 HRs, barely a thousand RBIs in 18 years...as much as I revere Kid, Mookie and the drinking team with a baseball problem that was the '86 Mets (and treasure his autograph of my copy of The Bad Guys Won), he was a great player but not a Hall of Famer.
@@TPTGopher as good as Ozzie was at short, Keith was that amazing defensively at 1st. Revolutionary how he played 1B with both finesse and aggression. Now compare the numbers of Ozzie and Keith...
Most all of ‘Em were hungover on that Classic 1986 World Championship Team. Not to mention trashing the plane ✈️ after their epic victory over the Astros to win the NL Pennant. Da Bad Boys were Bad to the Bone 🍖 💫✊💫
From what I've read, a more accurate description of the flight you mention would be "A bunch of giddy baseball wives, unfamiliar with the effects of being shitfaced at 35.000 feet, absolutely trashed the charter plane they were flying on...not that their Mets players husbands' behavior on that flight was anything to write home about".😂😂😂
As a Reds fan my boys always got in fights with this Mets squad and I wasn't supposed to like them but it was hard cuz they had swag. Knight could throw those hands 🥊
"A few too many beers" were the least of what Keith got up to as a Cardinal and a Met. Nevertheless, what a great player. Just don't say you didn't let your teammates down while high on cocaine. You'd let them down the moment you picked up the straw. Same goes for Doc and Darryl.
KEITH: Well lookit, the way I remember it ,I waswalking up the ramp. I was upset about the game. That's when you called me pretty boy. It ticked me off. I started to turn around to say something and as I turned around I saw Roger McDowell behind the bushes over by that gravely road. … Anyway he was talking to someone and they were talking to you. I tried to scream out but it was too late. It was already on its way.
@@richardpowell1772 KRAMER: Well, maybe because we were sitting in the right field stands cursing at him in the bullpen all game. NEWMAN: He must have caught a glimpse of us when I poured that beer on his head.

Mickey Mantle partied and hit two jacks the next day. Congrats Keith. 😂. You’re not special 😂. It’s how the old boys did it. Ask him about Strawberry or Gooden in the clubhouse. Then I’m interested. Cocaine is a hell of a drug
How could you not like this guy?
"Next thing you know, he's gonna have you driving him to the airport."
"I'm not driving him to the airport!!!!"
I’m not driving him to the airport!
I’d rather him tell us about getting to second base with Elaine.
That was the first thing I thought of when I saw he was being interviewed!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Same here Seinfeld was what i was thinking too hilarious!
Too good haha
Dang he's aged still sounds the same but he looks Iraqi now
Didnt Elaine dump him like a bag of dirt for smoking?
"Nice game, pretty boy!"
Still cant believe he asked Jerry to help him move...
That’s like going all the way
That’s too much good thing he never asked to drive him to the airport
He barley knew the guy
@@SoNaSly lol bro yes!

Good interview , entertaining. Big ups
It's a shame that Keith Hernandez is not in The Hall Of Fame.
He's not?! They need to fix that.

Because that's what a man does you show up for work hungover
I was severe alcoholic 3 fifths rum every day and hit bar after work never missed a day of work.
And even hitchhiked to work in blizzards
