      As a huge fan of Keith's career, it'd be nicer if he told the truth. Alcohol was not his vice. It was cocaine all the way and yes, he did let his teammates down.

But I do agree Keith and the rest of those 80s Mets partied to hard and self destructed. They under achieved, with all that talent they should have won another WS minimum

      Less than 2200 hits, less than 200 HRs, barely a thousand RBIs in 18 years...as much as I revere Kid, Mookie and the drinking team with a baseball problem that was the '86 Mets (and treasure his autograph of my copy of The Bad Guys Won), he was a great player but not a Hall of Famer.

      From what I've read, a more accurate description of the flight you mention would be "A bunch of giddy baseball wives, unfamiliar with the effects of being shitfaced at 35.000 feet, absolutely trashed the charter plane they were flying on...not that their Mets players husbands' behavior on that flight was anything to write home about".😂😂😂

    I didn't watch many soap operas, but being born 1973 I certainly watched all of my children one year in 1983 or 84. Then ten years later I moved in with the girlfriend who love that show and we look together and she videotaped all of that and I got the watch or listen to what I wanted to too. As Chicago sang. "Old Days" ( before DC got the Nats all we had was the Orioles 40 miles north and HTS Network used to play a great commercial promoting their broadcast of most of their home schedule)

    "A few too many beers" were the least of what Keith got up to as a Cardinal and a Met. Nevertheless, what a great player. Just don't say you didn't let your teammates down while high on cocaine. You'd let them down the moment you picked up the straw. Same goes for Doc and Darryl.

    Men with flaws and or vices can still have morals, this is the lesson. As is life, none are perfect yet strive to be regardless and you'll meet the mark better than those who claim perfection and can't deal with the common man 💯 one of the main reasons I like Tuck is because I feel I can have a beer with him and feel we'd relate 🤷 keep doing what you're doing brother
