    The examples at the end are hella helpful for me. Knowing when to add more support and when to add less, and how it sounds in context. Great work.

    Hi Victoria, you are amazing, I wanted to ask you a question about a question that arises and I have always had it, when we apply more support for heavier vocal tasks does it mean that the airflow speed is also increasing dramatically on purpose? Are we aware of how much and how much air pressure we are sending for a more efficient vibration, or does the body do it automatically if we just focus on the fact that more and more resistance appears when using heavier sounds? I ask because I noticed something strange I've seen all your videos in me and I'm curious that in me the support points of the resistance feel like something that pushes out below where the ribs end, the solar plexus also comes out and more muscles just above the bones from the hip also come out apart from the resistance without blocking that you comment on the belly which is what I notice the most, the funny thing for me is that I realized that it automatically works Even speaking anything without trying to find it, those points and belly resistance are working automatically, does that mean there is a default support on the body? What do you think about this? I want to thank you for all your work Victoria, I have really realized that you have helped quite a few people, even many on the way to having serious problems with their voice. They are forging their technique, it is something that life will reward you with more successes and wealth than you already enjoy, such as recognition, being an important artist, a reference, a loved one, and most importantly the gift that was given to you with your big & beautiful voice that you have enjoyed all your life and your passion for teaching, I thank you on behalf of all your generosity, we love you Victoria, so much! Long life!!! 🤗👐🙏 Good bless you!!

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The answer to your question is generally, yes!! The amount of airflow depends on the sound you want. To get louder and more intense in tone, yes, a *bit* more airflow, but it needs to be supported for good vocal fold closure and have good resonance or else you will just be wasting air and effort. Eventually, the sensations become built-in, but not in the beginning. That's why I like speaking exercises, just as you mentioned, but you must be able to apply them correctly to singing. You probably notice that I do that a lot in my videos.
      Thank you for your wonderful comments. Words like yours make me very happy. I enjoy connecting with people this way!

    Hi Victoria, I agree to your explanation on support but I have a question, so does that mean that breath support just happens naturally even for beginners because I've noticed that it's still happen without getting conscious or thinking about it ? Correct me if I'm wrong, just curious. Tyia!

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Breath support happens naturally for some singers while some have to work and develop it. Lucky you if it happens naturally! 😀

    Hey Victoria thanks for showing me this video, is it easy to ease off from a more intense engagement support to the lighter one with out taking a new breath of air? Do you do this? Or do you take a new breath each time? Many thanks X

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My answer is both, depending on the phrase and what you want. Of course, going from loud to soft while holding the note (decrescendo) is more challenging and a big part of training as you are able.

      @@Victoria-Victorious thanks for replying back to all the questions one the final one is that's ok, 🙈 sorry, this a huge concern, should support come first(as in getting the exhale stomach motion ready) then vocal production, or being to sing then support will be the reaction (I think it's this way round) but nice to have expert advice 🏅x

    • @danielwright4226
      @danielwright4226 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Victoria-Victorious I think I figured it out, you can do that lean first, but it makes much sense to do it after vocalising, so you can gauge it right 😊 God its so simple yet not, if your a over thinker 🥴❤

    Hello Victoria .first I Wanna thank you for your videos and helping us ,I Wanna ask a question my Vocal cords don't vibrate at all is this depend on the breath support or not? because when I try to do it I automatically feel like I'm singing from my nose ,and then I clean my throat after that ,but when I try to take a deep breath and then try to do the exercises ,I feel like the air is running so fast out of my mouth before I started to do exercises are all of that depend on breath support ?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your questions cover a couple of areas - breath support and vibrato. First of all, if you have not watched Video #12 which goes into GREAT detail the HOW of Breath Support, I suggest that you do that and do the exercises carefully. Supporting the Voice (Breath Support) - CLEARLY & CORRECTLY explained - FINALLY! th-cam.com/video/WR2772TGrgo/w-d-xo.html. If something is not clear, watch it several times. As far as vibrato, you are probably a bit tense at the vocal folds. Here are my 2 videos on vibrato. Again, make sure to do the exercises. Hi Victoria! Just wanted to know if your mid section comes in slowly when you sing low and comes in quicker when you sing high. Thanks!

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are singing with the same intensity in the high notes as in the low notes, then no, it shouldn't come in more quickly. Without hearing you, I am guessing that you are leaking air on your high notes. Try practicing with your best vowel.
