With so many new WRX owners I thought it was a good time to help them understand @cobbtuning Accessport and what to monitor. There are so many options and your tuner really is the best person to answer this question. However if you still dont understand hopefully this video will help you! The 2022-2023 WRX shares a lot of similarities to the 2015-2021 WRX. A lot of the options and parameters are similar. If you're new to the platform this video will help you get up to speed!

Applied my flash and go from boosted performance a few weeks ago and this is just the video I was looking for , amazing 👏
I'm glad it helped!
@HeavyMetalWRX hey bro! Do you have an email I can contact you through if you don't mind
@@captainskedmark6488 yea heavymetalwrx@gmail.com or you can dm me on IG
I’m gonna love/hate the accessport. I’m gonna be staring at my numbers nonstop 😭
Yea man sometimes I don't even plug my AP in. I've gotten accustomed to the noises and only panic when I hear a new one. 🤣
@@HeavyMetalWRX I should probably do it that way so I went be freakin all the time 😂
I monitored my car for like two days. All the numbers looked so I haven't plugged it in since.
Yup that's why they call it the anxiety port
I have mine plugged in with a towel over the display and check it when I wanna know something 😅
Thanks. Just what I was looking for...
Of course! It's been requested a few times. I just wanted to make sure I had all my informational ducks in a row 🤘
The best explanation on Cobb so far in TH-cam
Thank you! I hope it helps 🤘
Just hit 3k miles on my 23 base. The plan is to tune around 15k. I plan on getting the oil changes at the dealer until I run out and then doing on my own. Glad you are doing these vids Awais as this will be the first time I tune a Subaru. My last WRX (2015 Premium) was stock the entire time I had it so I am excited to mod the VB!
I'm waiting for my warranty to end, then let the tune begin 😂 honestly, I'm using up all the free oil changes from the dealership then switch to 5w30.
I got a few oil changes free with my car, id would make sure they did it right. got my 2nd free one at 7k, went under my car to install shifter plate. Don't think they changed out my crush washer. There was oil all over the drain plug.
@@vkilov dang.. sorry to hear that. The dealership I go to is pretty good with oil changes. I have 2 more free oil changes and after that, I'm doing my own.
Of course! Anything to help the community 🤘
@@RJWebber Haha! It has been a struggle holding back from doing anything! I am going Friday for my first oil change. I will probably swap to 5w30 as well.
Thank you for letting me know that the DAM drop when cruising. I noticed that today as I was cruising. It went back up eventually when I throttled.
About to hit 15k and the car has zero issues. I think I'm past the point where if there were any issues it would have popped up by now so an AP is definitely calling my name.
Send it!
Doo it. Join us 😈
I get -1.5 on my knock, the DAM is always 1, fine feedback knock is is always 0. It seems like the knock goes-1.5 on high rmp turns.
That's completely ok! I was wondering ering if anyone was getting any weird knocks. The VA would detect knock when the AC turned on ..so I think you're good 🤣
Thanks for this video! Good to have reference like this per platform. Since installing the AP my DAM has never dropped, but FBK dips to -4.xx and FKL to -1.5ish. Not too concerned since I’ll be replacing it with Dmann this weekend. Good job as always.
Yes the stock and ots tune is pretty aggressive on the knock sensing, naturally. Still not bad at all.
You are on Dmann now? How are you liking it? I am thinking of going Dmann. I think your comment about FNL above should have said FKL right? Fine "Knock" Learn spelled with a K not an N? Just nitpicking
@@KuyaPow626 Yes FKL, my bad and fixed. And the Dmann tune is awesome.
WRX Guru!!!
Working on it! I don't know everything but I'm learning.
Your explanation of the knock control system is inaccurate . Feedback Knock is a live measurement of knock, Fine Knock learn is a learned value based on historical knock activity in set load and RPM ranges.
The Dynamic Advance Multiplier is essentially the fuel quality control of the engine. If you’re running a factory calibration it is completely normal to see this number under 1 and is heavily related to fuel quality in your area. Remember, manufacturers have to have a single calibration that is able to deal with a wide variety of fuel quality, this is how Subaru archives this. If you have a “Pro” tune your calibrator should inform you of what expectations he has of the DAM. If he can’t, run away. Also, because knock is also influenced by ambient conditions this can also have an effect.
Also, AF Learning 1 is an again a learned correction based on historical corrections from AF Correction 1 at particular load/rpm ranges which is a real time adjustment based on the target AFR and measured AFR.
Generally it’s best to keep your AnxietyPort in the glove box.
What about 11.5-12 afr for the first 15-30 seconds stop at a light also AFR learning go down to -6 to -8, would that end up getting the spark plug fouled ?
I believe those numbers are fine! If you doubt anything definitely send a log to your tuner though. It never hurts to double check. They will always give you the most accurate answer. I'm not tuner but I do my best to help with what I know but don't use me as your last line of defense 😂
Awesome video idea. Question and idea for ya! At 11:21 you say the Tuner will request which gauges to display to log. Does that mean that only the displayed settings are being recorded? I would have thought that all data is recorded and only 6 get displayed but they can all be viewed later by a data log program or Microsoft Excel, for example.
Here's my idea for a cool video for your channel. Can you talk about and show all the different Cobb AP mounting points in the car? Talk and show the pros & cons for each? I think the cleanest looking one is the one in the driver's side defroster vent, but I worry that it's so visible it might tempt people to break into the car and steal it. I also wonder if it causes long term damage to the unit because the heat is blasting there on defrost mode? Alternative areas I've seen are A-Pillar mounts (lots of scratch potential), AC vent mounts (again, heat issues), sticky magnetic mounts (how durable are these for autocross days?), and center console compartment hidden mounts (Maybe this is a solution for people who are tuned and done tinkering, aka don't need to see the live numbers all the time?). Thanks!
Hi guys ! Nice video ! I have a WRX 2023 and don't want to go the accessport way (yet, for warranty reasons). I was wondering if there are alternatives out there that would allow me to monitor those data (I want to learn !) ? Been searching the net with no luck :(
Hey. There is no real way to do that. You. Could find a used in4 and plug it up to the car but then not run any maps. That would be the only way and still you'd have to pay.
Thank you @HeavyMetalWRX ! What is a in4 ? I don't mind to pay. I just don't want to flash my ECU with the stock map when marrying the AP. I'm looking for something that would allow me to monitor all the live data stream without flashing the ECU. Thank you again ! Rock On !!!
@@laurentmathivet1214 jb4 is another tuning style software. It's a piggy back system but you won't be able to monitor all the same stuff as Cobb. You can find more info here: burgertuning.com/products/jb4-tuner-for-subaru-wrx
@@HeavyMetalWRX oh ok ! I have read about jb4. Thanx again for your videos and your answers 🤘
Off topic so I’m sorry but could you say anything about the Perrin EGR device? Still using that?
Sorry! Can't say anything 🙊
Pretty sure your "Ghost leak" is coming from the stock diverter valve
I actually don't use the stock valve. I still kind of have something going on but haven't been able to find it. It's only during idle as well. That's the weird part.
CVT AP out soon...🎉
I know, Im Sure all our Cvt friends are just itching to get their hands on one!
AP aka Anxiety Port
Not even laker fans be doing that shit😂 love the Knicks tho ❤
