KEY TAKEWAY - I am using a monitor with HDMI and SDI to loop out of the camera to the EVF. This can apply to any monitor with HDMI and SDI. Other cameras like the bmcc6k, lumix, and more! I assume the same logic can apply to HDMI to sdi converters. Or using a TX on your camera. Latency will vary. You just need to rig it accordingly.
Finally a setup with the monitor at the same place i use to have it! Im going to take a look at this evf; where i use to rec, light is more agressive than other places at a point its impossible to expose propperly even with the lcd
Great piece… I’ve had the zacuto gratical eye for a while and decided to upgrade to the eagle as there hasn’t been any firmware upgrade for a number to years and is beginning to show its age and I’m so happy I did. The eagle is so small and lightweight and when the new firmware arrives it’ll have everything I need.
Oh yes. Now you got me... I will use my time at IBC Amsterdam later in September to check Best possible components for a viewfindet on mirror less cam setup. Thanks for your never-ending creativity when it comes to rigging.... 👍👍
Thanks for watching! I can't promise any additional content. I'm not a Komodo user. Its a simple product though, brand Washington has a video with it about his Komodo X. What you might run into is that the Komodo has one sdi. So you'll need to loop it if needed with other transmitters and such
Interesting rig! I use the dji transmission system on my bmpcc 6k instead of a monitor to get sdi to my evf. Still ads more weight than I would like but the monitor on my camera is already great so I stay away from adding another one.
One thing I hate about rigging hybrid or dslr type cameras in a shoulder rig set up, is the bloody hdmi port is always exactly where your head will be when it’s on your shoulder and sticks right into your face
I have them rosette adjustment adapters from both Tilta and Kondor Blue, I would say the Kondor Blue version are better, the way they function is far better. Did you look at HDMI to SDI adapters from Black magic? good for slimming down a shoulder rig unless you needed a monitor for an AC or Director.
I would agree, but I wasn't going to spend $200 on those adapters ha. I dont have a black magic adapter nor do I have the time to test everything. but hopefully this will get you inspired to test it yourself!
Could you not use one of the BMD 3G mini convertes (powered) would just get rid of the bulk of the mobitor which may still be wanted. But a thought i had nevertheless

is there a way i can also mount the focus pro?

You had me at shoulder rig.
Haha ayyyee

If yall want a minimal setup, you can always pick up hdmi to sdi 3g from blackmagic
I was gonna say this would be more minimal
Yep
For small cameras I love having things on the top handle instead of having 18 things on the rods in front and behind. Great rig!
Totally agree!

The ideal camera set up for me.

Been looking for an EVF for my komodo for ages. Love this! Would appreciate some more Eagle SDI x Komodo content ;)

rig culture 🤘🏼
Felt good to do this one ha glad you remember!
Fun!! I have those Tilta quick adjustment thingy. They are really great & convenient to adjust handles.
Totally agree!
Nice ❤ I used to one of those little Blackmagic HDMI to SDI converters when I had a Zacuto gratical eye with a Sony a7siii
Very cool! So many possibilities
This is cool. Being left eye dominant sucks when building a shoulder rig. I need to push the EVF way out.
I'm left handed and right eye dominant. Weird I know. But great point. You'll need to have the EVF slide pretty far
@@CineDailiesI think I have the same!
Amazing work ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Epic bro! 🙏🏼
Thanks Legend!

That can work too!
“Hot Dayum” Let’s Gooooo!
LETS GOOO
Some L-shape adapters or cables for HDMI and USB C would help if you want the left side of the camera closer to your head, fyi.
Yep I know. And I Hate them. To many connection points

Looks good, but what about a wireless transmission system¿
If you need it you figure out a way to put it on lol
Nice !!! - Can you release a short - just stick an Iphone up to the evf & show us what the evf is seeing :P !!
A walk through is coming!
Cool built! How do you handle focus on that shoulder rig?
I can put a manual follow focus…lidar, or have a first AC pull. There are many options
Hey Joshua, if you have an affiliate link for those cable tied, I'm totaly down ;)
Its in the description! Thanks for the support!

Could you share your thoughts about xh2s fucked AF? And do you think Fuji is gonna fix it soon?
How’s the latency from Looping out from HDMI-Monitor-SDI?
Its low!

The point of the video is using what I already have. If you want to use the BMD 3G go right ahead. I don't own one.
@@CineDailies I got the point of the video 🤘 I was thinking out loud in the comments.
@@heartshapedfilms haha
@@CineDailies the daft thing is I don't have cine camera now and not my xt4 so the video isn't even relevant to me 🤣
Where’s that top handle from!
On which camera?
@@CineDailieson the XH2s!
Anyone knows if this thing is compatible with RED DSMC2?
Yes
can i buy that cine dailies sticker 😬😬 (digital because I'm not in usa)
Coming soon haha
@@CineDailies woohooo
Coke is life without fujifilm. 🤣🤣 Nailed it!
Why not use an hdmi to sdi converter? Blackmagic makes one
adds to much bulk for a small rig. but rig it however you want
Bro i need a help iam video editor so please suggest one of these which one is better macbook air m2 or 2020 macbook m1 pro ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌
i dont like it.
What??? He’s literally just explaining something he figured out 😂😂
