Enel X it seems to be pronounced like N-L-X. They make the Level 2 EVSE the Juice Box. I'm excited to see not far from me a local Chevy dealer put in a Kempower DCFC, not the 50kw satellite unit, but the big boy. Look at Country Chevy in Benton KY in Plugshare. There is one pic on there currently. I'm going to get over to it and check it out. It's on the ZEF Energy network. Its great to hear we are going to see Alpitronic HW here too.
4 sure Kempower through Zef is doing work. There is also a dealership in eastern TN (Rusty Wallace Ford) that has the same setup. Kool to see Kempower flex here in the U.S..
The Huntsville location just had a ribbon cutting today, It is a nice location with a grocery store and several nice places to eat nearby, in a parking garage. A right near the hospital.
7:56 I can't wait until we start seeing six new Pilot-Flying J locations opening each week! The Regency Center update was very interesting, but it's definitely on-brand for EVgo. Despite GM's pulling EVgo out of their shell a bit, EVgo still seems to have a preference for putting chargers in at the busiest retail locations they can find. Of all the charging providers, EVgo has been the one most focused on maintaining the highest usage rates possible, presumably motivated by profit margins and ROI.
I am tracking a shift to the west. Crews spotted in Utah this past week so hopefully the westward expansion has begun. As for EVgo modis operandi I agree. They like to target urban areas, unlike EA that has principally been a road trip stop. It seems they target metro regions and start to build many smaller stations in select locations that are targeted at heavy utilization. This is in that same pattern. I am pretty confident when I tally the score, it will be one of the lowest I have ever reviewed. Probably the lowest.
Thanks, Walter! It will be interesting to see what Mercedes is up to with their network. To my knowledge, we haven't seen any confirmation about who will be administering the back-end connectivity for their Alpitronic units.
Yes, I am wondering the same. I will be able to see them pop out in database sweeps assuming they go with one of the ones who update the database. ChargeLabs is a pretty common option, I understand. thx 4 watching.
this is a great service for the EV community,! I have a question not for sure if you can answer it please if you know the answer let me know, it is concerning EVgo, question is do you know if there's plans to put EVgo stations at the Pilot/Flying J's on I-10 in Louisiana? I could not believe there isn't an EVgo station anywhere in the state of Louisiana???
@thenetworkarchitectchannel thank you very much, I frequent Louisiana a lot a lot of my family lives there I hadn't been in my new Cadillac lyric because I wanted to charge at the evgo stations being it was included with my deal, but it was kind of weird that there was not one evgo between Houston and New Orleans on I-10, thanks again for your response...
Walter - speaking of charging desert locations for Enel X chargers, take a look at their Copper Harbor, MI location. A total surprise to me that more than L2 exists in this distant spot, but very welcome for tourists traveling Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, since the rest of the upper peninsula has yet to “comfortably” embrace EV travelers.
Another helpful update! Thanks, Walter! I do wish DCFC installations would crank up faster, especially here in the Intermountain West. Maybe when IONNA gets moving…? Dunno.
Is there a limit on L2 charging? Just thinking that high current destination L2 charging would be far cheaper to implement. What is the highest kw for L2? What do you think?
19.2 on an 80 amp is the highest I have seen. It is dependent on the on-board charger in the EVs. Basically twice as fast as a normal L2, so can fill up in 3-4 hrs from empty.
You are doing a great service for the EV community.😊
Thx!

Francis Energy just opened two 400 kw dispensers in Cridersville, OH. Excited to check it out next weekend.
wow! 400 is new gear for them. Pretty cool.

It seemed really nice. Cool to have covering too so rain and such do not bother. Thx for chiming in to fill in some color.
There's also a lot of condo housing nearby with limited or no level 2 charging. Was glad to see it open.
Thanks for the update, Walter. I always find these interesting.
You bet. Glad you like them.

Good to see all these charging stations coming online. We need all we can get for the EVs being sold these days.
Truth. Ones I go to are almost always at least half full. One I was at this past week had a line two deep.

Yes, I-10 in LA has several locations on the build list for 2024.

pretty parts those are. Hope to travel there again someday. Always enjoyed when I lived in the Chicago area. Stay safe and happy 4th.
Kinda weird stuff with the Mercedes Benz stations and the Chargepoint vs. Alpitronic chargers.
Yeah, not sure what's going on yet, but will be interesting to watch it play out. Thx 4 watching. Have a good weekend.

I hope so too
Lowe’s in St Louis, Mo - any info such as a zip code. Would go take a look but there are multiple locations all over the region. Thanks Walter.
932 Loughborough Ave
@@thenetworkarchitectchannel thank you. Central location. Near me. How can I send you pictures?
The 2 buc ees in Florida are also down, blocked off with construction equipment in them. Both are powered off.
Yeah, go figure. Will have to wait and see what v2 of the sites looks like. Hopefully not too long since they are great locations.

EA recently opened up a 6 stall location in Jackson, MS
They seem to be on a building spree. I am giving some thought on how I can track them because their efforts are significant as of late.
