It was helpful to see which numbers/graphs are for you relevant to look at, and which numbers/graphs do not really tell the differences between differents songs or mixes.
Thanks for the walkthrough. One question, how to actually make your mix better sounding close to the reference? Could you show how you go back to your mix while taking a reference from this plugin?
Hey, thank you, really appreciate the comment! I'm working on it, clearly I am not pleasing the Algorithm enough :) Let me know if there is any particular topic you'd like me to cover in future videos, is there anything you're struggling with?
@@martinmixing youve learned enough about mixing you should study even just a little about the algorithm just dont overthink anything and you should be fine. This is some of the biggest secrets in the industry I found this video looking around on chatgpt, there are people out there who know your potential and talent keep grinding man dont stop keep putting this type of stuff out there
It would be helpful if your screen didn't black out during the loudness window explanation... sorry bud, but I'd prefer seeing what you're talking about
hi Shane and Martin - Dynamics can remember your reading when pausing - all you need to do it click the 'hold' button in the display control section. look for the three buttons with the PLAY button at the top of the stack. the 'Pause' button is the one at the bottom.
Way too much energy in the lows, good you high passed it out. It's energy that reflects your whole song. I use it mostly on songs that are tracked from vinyl, where rumble is normal. I don't even have to listen for it. I use A/B all the time, but on my monitor bus, Reaper has that, there is also an SPL Hawkeye plugin and a phase meter on it.
The ONE reason I’m watching this video (correlation) and you say we don’t need it and just SKIP right over it lmao ARE U KIDDING ME - now I gotta go video hunting again Then you say on stereo separation, it won’t tell you if your mix is out of phase that’s what the correlation was for, but apparently you don’t know how to use it which I don’t either That’s why I’m trying to learn, but I know it’s for out of phase issues.
It would be easy for me to say "why do some people gravitate to crappy run on sentences with no punctuation". Seriously though, this is a really sophomoric approach and its transparent - no points for effort . I really don't blame you though, because I doubt you even know it. Listen, if you are worried that you listen to "crappy music," don't accuse other people of it. learn to accept your tastes and don't be ashamed of it. have a great life
It needs a mode that subtracts the two frequency spectrums showing the difference in frequency between the two, as the VST REFERENCE does.
Thank you so much !!! Greetings from Belgium 🙂

Can you use reference music from streaming platforms like Apple Music?

Hey, I'm actually doing that in my Metal Live Mixing series, check them out, I go back and forth between my mix and my references ;)
Great demo!

Great video man!! Very informative. I wish Dynamics would remember the song after pausing
Glad you like it! Yes, that would be a cool feature indeed!

Why do some people gravitate to crappy music is beyond me Green Day and Foo Fighters music is just as bad as their goofy names smh
Well, I suppose we all have our own tastes in music. What do you listen to?
