Here on my MrHurriicane channel I focus on football gaming videos and series. I play Madden 20 and NCAA 14 and my series revolve around building teams in Franchise and Dynasty mode. I would love a rebuild in this game, just watching the game is so much more enjoyable than Madden 22. With madden you can watch a pass sometimes and tell if it will be a catch or not, but in this game you can see a back shoulder pass where the defender can’t telepathy jump with their back turned to the ball and bat it down. The qb movement in the pocket looks good from a cpu vs cpu standpoint. Do it Hurricane just do it.
Hands down my favorite nfl game of all time. Back when they had to try and EA didn’t own the license for eternity. I’d love to see you do a series rebuilding a team with the worst players at each position or playing all first person
The only thing I would be worried about is if he would get motion sickness from 1st Person FB.

Why did the NFL give EA exclusive rights and why do they continue to make it this way? I know for a fact 2k would put EA out of business if they werent protected by their exclusivity rights
@@teddyhart2913 money, EA just paid $1.5B in 2019 for the license. I guess 2k didn’t want to put that type of money up unfortunately

This game was my life back in the day and really only stopped playing when the next gen systems came along, I miss it dearly. Greatest nfl video game of all time!

I think doing an in depth franchise with this resurrected mod would be incredible man. This game is nostalgic for so many I think it could bring a wave of new viewers to your content. Which you totally deserve. I’d be ecstatic

you normally are pretty hype in your commentary. but honestly, you sounded like you were having genuine fun playing this game.
I would vote for a franchise with this game. Gives you a chance to learn how to play the game while building a team. 2 different challenges.
Throw in all the features that are in franchise AND the ability to watch sports center after every week to highlight the action/news around the league and you are set up with content for a long time.

One thing I seem to recall about this game is that the trench war really matters. You have to be good at calling the right protections against the DL, and when you're on defense, when to slide, pinch, or spread your DL to create your mis-matches.
I think the major thing that stands out about this game than almost every Madden is that they really fine tuned the touch pass. It is actually a great weapon in this game. Having higher rated players really matters. You can see the difference between a 75 rated OL and an 85. While speed is a meta, you can get away with players that aren't quite 90 speed at skill positions...like sledgehammer backs or tall, physical WR's. Blocking TE's are super important in this game to help set your edge.
This game with presentation is still the best too date!!! And the challenge system was ahead of it's time, and still better than present day Madden.
Re watched the video since it was so much fun. That was entertaining as heck. Imagine having this kind of content coming out every other day with the Giants rebuild?! This is awesome man, 2K outdid themselves.
Looking forward to the 2K series. A retro game series of any kind sounds way more interesting to me than Madden 22

Man with your enthusiasm as a commentator on the play by play a franchise is a must. Please consider doing one especially with how deep the franchise is. Just a thought but, maybe since u can edit incoming rookies maybe throw some subs in there to make it interesting. Great video as usual bro👍🙏

A raiders franchise on this game would be nuts. Def need some rebuilding after everything that's transpired this year and need a new HC potentially. As well as paying respect to the late John Madden I think they have some potential for sure.

Best football video game ever!!! How easy and quick it was to fix your defenses and offense... the detail how they show highlights of other teams at halftime
I like that kickers actually miss FGs in this game. In madden the only time a kicker will miss is when a long-distance kick falls short.
Loooooooooved this game so much back in the day. My friends and just played through season after season. It was such a blast. Very cool to see this mod and a series would be a lot of fun.

This is my second time and it's because this would be a gamechanger in terms of content for me. I would **LOVE** to see you utilize this game!! Plays great, but franchise is a little meh when CPU gets to drafting. Would absolutely love more USERvCPU games or even better a franchise with this. 5/7, perfect video, Cane.

I wouldn't mind playing these old games but man there are some QoL changes that I take for granted in modern Madden. Mostly talking about controls for the most part. Takes a while to get use to.
Best football game ever. Please do a full series. Gameplay was and in some ways is still way ahead of Madden. It takes some getting used to not being able to throw on a dime while sprinting toward the sideline. 2k8 was great too. Lack of franchise was a huge disappointment there.

A week or so with the game you'll learn the ins and out.
1 tip if you don't completely set your feet with the QB he will do a running throw animation.
2nd tip if you do a franchise you can not start a season with with negative cap space, keep that in mind because contracts don't work like Madden, dead cap exist and it will hurt you

It'd be great to see you play a series (Franchise on 2K or Dynasty on CFB revamped) as Madden is a sorry state of affairs that sadly looks like it'll never be a good game again, with nearly all EA games in what appears to be a terminal decline in quality. Regardless I hope you find a Football game soon that revitalizes your love for Football video games.

As far as what to do a series on, i’d strongly prefer one on college football revamped(especially if you do a team builder) just because you already ah e the giants series for nfl. Though i’d also watch a series of this game if you made it!

That was a.good game, the cpu missing a game winning field the first time shows how accurate and real 2K5 was. I’m definitely getting this mod. I have the physical copy on the mini PS2. But I do have the PS2 emulator. Try playing Arena Football.
