I think the Pepes are in a millions of years long cycle.
1:16 is where that cycle ends and a new cycle begins. Idk how to explain it but basically history repeats itself. The Pepe Earth Core becomes the Pepe Sun and a new Earth is formed out of the remains of the previous one.
Ok so complete timeline:
Frog becomes Frog-Man.
Child that was with the frog grows up and meets the Frog-Man now Blue Pepe from the previous cycle.
He sacrifices himself to give Blue Pepe a moment of peace.
Current Frog-Man becomes the child at 5:12 . He escapes the facility and
becomes the Pepe at 0:54 . He survives the Cycle Repeat Event Thing at 1:16 and manages to get to the new Earth due to his magical powers.
1:54 is him on the new Earth. This is where he unlocks his growth powers and becomes Blue Pepe. Then some stuff happens, human history all that, until we get to Modern Day and Blue Pepe meets the Child that set him free all those years ago at 8:27 . But it's not really that Child, that one was killed by the Previous Blue Pepe. The Child he meet at 8:27 is the Child that set free the Current Frog-Man who will become the Next Blue Pepe.
A child once again sacrifices themself to give Current Blue Pepe his last moment of peace.

The one that really gets me is the forest spirit reference. And this one actually goes much deeper than princess mononoke. As it presents the bird it shows the next embrace's future yet he still accepts because he sees the sadness this creature endures when it has to take a life for its own survival. It rewards the sacrifice though. Imagine during the embrace, that creature gives you the time to experience every single life you'll ever experience since it's life is pure eternity; All within that short span of one life and one death. You experience your entire existence in an instance and that is the reward for sharing your life energy with it. I for one would take that embrace.
@@MrKaratechop1726 we both think alike in that aspect, I would also take that embrace and for sure will enjoy it, cuz nothings better than a short blissful moment of living every life and making every decision you ever wanted to make for instance; who you decide to spend the rest of your life with and see how each marriage would've been and seeing how many times you would've died sooner than others.
This can also be referenced to Doctor Strange Multiverse of Mad since Pepe the Frog is going through different lives but the only thing is he stays within his own dimension.

Gotta give it to Matt for being one of the greatest and most underrated internet artists of all time. These never fail to elicit the deepest emotions from me. You could spend hours writing hundreds of pages of analysis but at the end of the day it is the result of the most simple and beautiful stream of uninterrupted consciousness expressed in animation.

13:27 that transition into the parachute scene sent me to another world. What a fucking perfect transition from the previous frame and the single most fitting part of the songs for the scene. Astonishing I've watched that single part maybe 20 times in a row it's ethereal to me for some reason, but it perfectly captures the emotions, visuals, happenings of the scene and speaks so much fucking breathtaking

Maybe it’s because I’m balls high but I completely understand the meaning of all of these, and what Pepe represents. He represents us in our various collective daily struggles to get through the day and just live life. Every person can relate to this, there’s always a long list of things that you know you have to do but don’t want to, or that you know will happen but don’t want to happen. That list I feel like gets longer as you get older. And sometimes thing in that list can really weigh down on us, feel like a roadblock to your enjoyment with life. And that’s what Pepe here represents: ourselves making it through or coping with those roadblocks.

Somehow I stumbled upon some random page on IG , it looked like a burner account, but in their grid they had a pepe lore video. I had never seen one and I was so fascinated by it. Not gonna lie I teared up. Especially with the part of the blue pepe hugging the green pepe and then he grows old and dies, and with the other story of the dad pepe with his son on his lap. I could deeply feel those parts for some reason. That was early in the morning when I stumbled on that video and I literally got hooked and have been searching pepe lore all day on tik tok and insta. now it’s 5am the next day. There’s just something about the music and the themes in all the short stories that makes this all so beautiful. I’m a fan of pepe for sure.

It stated as a meme. But it is now a expression of humanity. It is stange to see what was just a silly frog turn into this beautiful,inspiring work of art. It's not something you see every day. People say art doesn't have purpose, but this is its purpose to express the humanity in all of us. I feel like this is why people relate to pape because he the humanity we all have in us. Represents the ups and downs in our lives. He represents the desire to live but also to die. From the original creation to 4chan, and then through the wider internet culture, I’ve seen it used as an expression of humanity.
I remember early on in like 2010-16 people would always use this “sad frog” image to post feels threads on 4chan
I don't know why but some of the scenes are so deep and sad if you think about them, for example this one here: 0:22 or 16:55 it's crazy how fast life can be even though it feels slow

I like how Furie sortof took back control over Pepe as a symbol.
For a while Pepe was the spokesman of 4Chan, and thus a harbinger of the best and worst of that community.
And instead of fighting with legality or whining on twitter, he just made more art that didn't contradict what 4Chan had built up, but rather elevated Pepe beyond a simple "funny frog" and into a simple icon for artistic expression.
It's helped transform Pepe into a more abstract and experimental symbol, which aligns with 4Chan's use as a chaotic symbol.

I would believe they took references from other pieces of content cuz some are obviously referencing other people's work but they all have their different art styles so I think each one depends on the complexity and aesthetics used for it.
