I will say this, it certainly is a lot different. For me on the PS1 the secondary instrument made the track, and it seems to be largely missing here. Not a negative towards the new track of course, it just goes for a different thing
That's because it goes way too over the top. Didn't need the vocals, just let the other instruments stand out like they are supposed to. The earlier FFO arrangement was perfect.
Insane cope in the replies. The soundtrack is phenomenal and fitting for its tone and setting. Nothing would satisfy unless it was straight up the original ost from the ps1 port.
Why with the blood sword? Other than the life drain, does it do something special damage wise? I had 4 swords with more damage, so neither of my dual wielding sword guys used it. Am I missing something? I killed the last boss in 2 turns (one where everyone cast buffs, and one where everyone attacked), but I'm just curious. Edit: And by the way, I didn't even find Excalibur and Masamune.
@@Elgar337 Yea for some reason the blood sword does absolutely insane damage to the final boss so much so that it just takes a couple of turns from the wielder alone to defeat it.
Just finished ff2 today. With the somber atmosphere permeating the whole game, major characters dropping like flies, a villain with absolutely zero redeeming qualities, and very little levity throughout the whole story, I'd say this final dungeon theme more than deserves to go this hard.
Best soundtrack in the game. Really hypes you up for the final boss and then you proceed to destroy him in 3 turns with the blood sword and you're just like wow that was disappointing lol. Especially after how hard the FF1 final boss is lol
@@Dahrk_Angel interesting. I played the psp anniversary edition cuz I wanted a crack at Chronodia and all the extra dungeons/bosses. PR for FFII was, in a gameplay sense, disappointing cuz it lacked Soul of Rebirth.
I can't believe people say this one is worse than previous ones. Just beat the Pixel Remaster for II today, and this shit slapped hard af.

It's overproduced cinematic trash like all modern FF soundtracks.
Nostalgic people are trash@@RichterTheRat

I was playing this yesterday and was totally flabberghasted when the choir was hitting. Total chills!
The Pandemonium theme has always been one of my favorites, I personally think that all versions of it are really good.
I was so hyped listening to this before the final fight against the emperor.
This song is HYPE IN EVERY VERSION I SWEAR TO GOD
I was NOT READY to be so fired up for the final dungeon when this absolute banger came on, I was so overwhelmed. What an awesome cap on the game.
The kind of music that makes you so STOKED to kill the final boss with two swings of the blood sword.

@@radioffIine Wow, that's surprising. I wonder why, because there isn't anything in the description that would suggest that, is there
@@Elgar337 Before trying it out myself I only ever heard about it from other people online. I’m guessing it was meant to be an easter egg of sorts.
@@Elgar337 the blood sword always deals damage equal to 1/16 of the enemies HP which is why this blade is absolutely OP against any boss with high HP
It is a crime they put this song in an area with such a ridiculous encounter rate.
At least now we can disable random encounter.

People = its too over the top. So what, youre going into hell to beat satan before he claims dominion of the world
Me = no, this is accurate
One of the best final dungeon themes ever. Epic beyond words 😎
Very beautiful, this song is so awesome!!

FF1 FB took more turns but was no less easy
@MethodFire01 Depends which version of FF1 you played I guess. I played the pixel remaster and the final boss was actually hard.

This one is incredible
This is so beautiful.
Best version
Panda Castle Moan-- I, um...
anyone know the epic chorus voiceline lyric?
I like your avatar.
It would be cool if you could upload Chaos shrine theme (past). I cant find the song alone.
