Fun fact, the language being spoken is Esperanto. Esperanto is notable because it was a language created specifically with the intention of becoming universal.
It's actually how medieval bards would sing for battle chants and the like. Turns out even medieval peasants liked hearing their artists spitting fire, instead of the usual lame calm melodies you hear at ren fairs.
@@trustytrest it's like those military chants of the old ages. They needed something to help pump the blood in their veins to prepare for battle, and nothing is better for this than music.
This game is a breath of fresh air when it comes to music, it just went left field and said F the standard rock JRPG tracks, we gonna go EPIC for a simple battle.
Man this should've been the game that we deserved time ago when Atlus announced a collab of SMT with Fire Emblem, but no, we got that idol game instead
@@joshlegacy1101 yeah i agree i personally liked it, not the best atlus game and it is kinda short but it is pretty decent and also has pretty good battle music.
First time I heard the chanting I was like "Yo.., what the fcuk is up with this weird ass music?" ....but then as the song went on my thoughts changed to "you know what? in a strange kinda way this works..", and by the end of the song I was like "this tune is actually sick!"
@@SILVERONIN It's apparently easy to learn. Then again we have English but opinions on this language seem mixed. I actually hope to understand the song once I have looked a bit into Esperanto.
For both versions of the battle theme, the instrumental and choir are properly epic and it sounds great. It's just that the buddhist monk mumble rap in the background is too silly and funny to take the battle themes seriously.
According to interviews the vocals are actually in Esparanto, a language that doesn't even have that many speakers and if we tie what we know about the game, it makes sense direction wise.
Nah, the "rap" is the best part about it. That's actually how medieval bards would sing for these kinds of songs. Y'all nerds just hate anything that isn't a generic LotR orchestra score. Literally begging for the lowest common denominator.
Magical medieval rapper

The adventrues of Medieval Makoto Yuki, Yu Narukami and Frieren's long lost sister
She's Yoshino Chidori
First time I heard it, I wasn't sure what to make of the chanting.
Now I'm fully hooked. It's so good.
It gets you into a trance.
Things I needed in my life but didn't know it: buddist monk rapping in esperanto mixed with epic orchestral choir.
MEGURO-SAMA WILL NEVER STOP COOKING
This song is so hype I can't stop listening
The advantage state got me speaking Esperanto

persona 5's last surprise be like
It has a bit of SMT Strange Journey in it. I really love it even if I don't understand a single word of what they say. Amazing Meguro as usual.
Yeah, it flows similar to Fear of God Battle Theme. Same vocal opening with the explosive instrumentals after the vocal
It sounds very Fire Emblem when the music properly kicks in.
that's what it reminded me of, Apex of the World

@@JosValenz At least the idol game was decent.

Man, I'm FIENDIN sooo bad for this game, I can't freakin wait!
Listening on max volume at work
Did you opt for the party charge or go for a stun for advantage?
This has the energy of Strange Journey mixed with Fire Emblem gad dayum
It’s so nice that sir Shoji Meguro went for a more classical approach in this game. It’s so refreshing.
we becoming king with this one 🔥🔥🔥
We Yappn’ our way to victory with this one 🗣️
so hyped for the boss themes
Battle theme is lit!
Pinche canción todopoderosa. Me de despeina los pelos de los huevos de lo poderosa que es.
😂😂😂😂
im gonna use it when i encounter my college lol
This has the same vibes as The Fear of God from Strange Journey
Same composer. Makes sense.
This makes me think of the final chapter of a fire emblem game when you’re fighting some dude that turned into a dragon
It reminds me a lot of God shattering star
It’s peak I fear
The fact this motivated me to finish my homework :/
0:44 oh my goodness 😩
Just one more week!!
When i heard it first time this reminds me soundtrack granblue fantasy versus" such a blue sky"
Metaphor Strange Journey Redux
How did they managed to beat Strange Journeys OST?
Esperanto Rap! We need the Lyrics!
Actually, it's buddhist prayers sung by a monk (showcased during TGS 2024)
Shattering of dawn
This sounds like it belongs in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Which is good.
Oh, so op ost. ❤
see people it's not persona it has a male singer this time.
I mean the rapper in p3 is male does that not count ? Like come on lotus juiice is pretty fire too.

Does anyone know what the lyrics are/mean?
It's from a language called Esperanto which was created to unify the world by speaking one language in the early 1900s. Look into it!
