It looks really nice. I ordered mine last week, but it's on backorder- I was also thinking of getting a carbon fiber radiator cooling plate to assist with airflow and add more carbon fiber goodness
Your gonna love the exhausts paired with the Cobb Stage 1+ OTS tune. The car runs much better than stock with less knock readings even with A/C on. The throttle pedal sensitive will take some miles/time for it to go back to its original responsive feeling but it’s well worth it
This looks like it's going to be a pain to replace/clean/oil the filter when the time comes down to it. Am I missing some sort of quick release for the filter?
Compared to most air filters this can be more time consuming but it’s just removing the bolts. The carbon fiber air box has no bolts and just pops out of the engine bay. Couple of hose clamps and it’s out of the engine bay. Taken it out multiple times and it s much easier to take out than the stock air box
I’ve been debating on this for my stage 1 tune or getting the ets titanium intake. I’m leaning towards the ets however because i know it’s compatible with the ets front mount intercooler.
Yeah for me it was a no brainer to get this as it dramatically reduced intake air temps. I even tried running this intake without the carbon fiber duct and the intake temps were always 20°F+ over if it had the duct. Without any air box containing the filter, it quickly heat soaks from the engine bay and may take longer to drop temp as the car moves. Yeah one of the biggest issues is that it does allow for some FMIC piping to fit but that can be easily fixed with a fabricator
Damn, it looks like it works perfectly. I’m not sure how much HP increase had, but I am taking a guess that it gave you 12 or 15 HP+. Like I said before, you’re so lucky to have a performance modification on California.
The power increase is very minor for an OTS unless you get a protune, but for me the power increase doesn’t really matter, I just wanted my car to run much better then with the stock tune which the COBB stage 1+ definitely does
A P0171 would mean that your running lean (too much air not enough fuel). Try checking all of your hose clamps and make sure the hoses are completely around the mating surface of its connecting pipe. Check if your maf sensor is connected and if the coupler that connects to the turbo inlet is sealed correctly
Compared to a K&N filter, the Cobb filter feels like there is no oil. Probably why a lot of MAF sensor are all gummed up with K&N filter. Cobb’s install guide says just to install it as it comes in the box
just ordered mine and this video just made me more anxious. Awesome content man!
Thanks man. Your gonna love the Carbon Redline intake, well worth the money over the regular SF intake without the intake sound being too obnoxious
I'm glad it's fitted so perfectly

Nice! You should put up a video of the intake noise :)
Yes a video with intake sounds will be coming soon 👍

@@4enthusiasts I’ve thought about that too, i was thinking about just getting a fabricator to make a heat shield for the ets

i bought his intake but i ve been getting a p0171 code after installing it! anybody has any inputs than can help me out

Why no filter oil?
It already comes pre-oiled. Cobb’s re-oiling kit has the blue or clear color
@@4enthusiasts the one I got was dry. Most of the videos I've seen nobody oils them. Maybe mine slipped through.

This video screams: CARBON FIBRE
