lol, I just removed the bumper on my 2020 STI and none of the clips came off with ease like in this video. There were so many small rocks and dirt particles that get trapped in the clips making it very difficult to pry off - and this is with the use of a clip removal tool. The problem is the dirt doesn't allow the pin in the middle to come out fully. What a fucking headache. The clips on the car in the video are obviously brand spankin' new.
Really appreciated this video, DJ. So detailed and well explained. Too often how-to videos aren’t detailed enough. Usually, it is only the removal part, without explaining how to re-install the parts. Will continue to support your channel and Subiebros.
Thanks Tony! Since the front bumper removal is such a common task for many modifications, I thought this would be better to reference this detailed video going forward rather than explaining how to remove the front bumper for every video that requires it.
Great little video. I suggest taping up the side edges of the bumper so they dont scratch the fender when separated. Tends to want to ride up. Also my 15 has an additional lower and different clip on the bottom of the side of the bumper holding my oem lip kit
Thanks for the detailed video! I've taken off a few bumpers in my time, but this was a finicky one! I had to reference the video a couple of times in the process.
Thanks for making this great video, I'm an idiot when it comes to following instructions, now I feel like I'm 100% smarter. Gonna refer to this video a lot tonight when I install my Hella horns.
Thank you! I'm going to put in a fog light kit and needed to see this first. Can anyone confirm if the nine clips on the bottom are the same type for 2021 STI Base? The part that seems the most intimidating is once you have to start detaching and it 'pops' like if you broke something. It now seems possible wi th one person to do. Thanks!
There are tabs that have to go in between the headlight and the black bracket under them, you may want to check you aligned these correctly. It is possible to force them into an incorrect position.
Thorough AND concise. The rest of TH-cam could learn from your format.
An incredible video and immensely useful. I wish all Auto videos were of this quality. Bravo.
Just bumping a great, straight forward and useful piece of information. Nicely done. AND YES I KNOW THIS IS 3 years old
must be nice doing this with brand new bumper clips lmao
I was thinking the exact same thing! All mine were froze up. Only 10k miles top, but it's a 2020.

Cheer's m8, the video was very helpful, always owned v8s, never a subi or a smaller car. Keep up the good work.
Very informative and professional video. Thank you!
Think about a new grill for my sti but this looks like a nightmare just to do that. Just gonna have it professionally done
This was professionally done and I'm confident after watching the way you done it
Took my bumper off so many times for mods. The worst part is reinstalling the bumper. It never wants to aline with the headlights.
I have that problem right now....
@@thedon9670 your gonna need another person. It's a pain.

Do you need the trim piece or no??
Thanks man, you didn’t mention the light sprayers and both of mine snapped off

Does the 2018 bumper tow hook location match up to the 2015 towhook location
Yes, they are the same but the distance from the front of the bumper cover is different due to the designs.
Great video, thank you 🙏
love this video!! thanks !!
So anyone know the name/size of the first clip he shows? Ofcourse both of mine broke😅
Thank you
Great video, thanks!
Great Video !
No I need to this for head light cover replacement

Nice work 👏

Thank you buddy, saved me a lot
This work with a regular 2016 Impreza hatchback? My kid hit a snow bank and guess who has to fix it 😕
I hit a cyclist and cracked my bumper that’s why I’m here
Thanks
