So how does it feel to be peaking at 72? You are an inspiration to so many and certainly to me all these years. And damn you two have the sound dialed in. Please do not stop ever. 🙏🏿
Thank you for this. I don't think I've heard this song since I heard it in the 60s sung by Buffy in her distinctive voice. I didn't appreciate it as I did today. Such a sweet song with pleasant, comforting imagery that speaks to me, after having lived for a time in piney wood hills. Good also hearing Greg -- so tasteful, never overdone, just right.
Love this artist as teenager in 70s and now as old man my self.he still is great singer and song writer and human being.roll on jax's you still are american icon sir
Brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful and touching song. Reminds me of Jackson's songs from days gone by and why I fell in love with his songs so long ago.
What a great tune, and your voice is in great shape even after Covid. Must be because you keep sharing your home videos with us and keeping your pipes from getting rusty. Thank you Jackson for your wonderful music. Has been my beacon of hope for so, so many years.👏👏❤️❤️
When I was a teen in Alberta, my Cree friends and I often listened to Buffy and sang along with with the songs. We wore the cassettes down to the point where tape hiss was drowning instruments. Bless you for this beautiful rendition. Magnificent, now get me some tissues.
Well, I can’t believe it has has been 2 years ago. Maybe not , just on this song. Don’ you think that it is funny that we now have numbers attached to our names? I just came across this and am thinking that we need to update. I thank you also, Jackson.
Whenever I hear you sing, it takes me back to when I was a young teenage girl hanging out with my boyfriend in Lake Tahoe, hot summer nights we would play your albums, you were "our band". 40+ years later, you are still my band and listening to you takes me back to carefree and really fun times that always puts a smile on my face :)
When this pandemic has been corralled, I’m going to really miss these wonderful windows into what I call your ‘living room sessions’, Jackson - or am I??? Maybe you’ll keep doing them ... they’re just fantastic👏👏👏
Jackson your voice is always so soothing. I love this song. I was sipping coffee feeling down today. You both just lifted my spirits. Love the slide guitar.
Me too I love JACKSON BROWNE ,je recommande à tous LE TRIPLE ALBUM ( vinyle) NO NUKES ) concert de 1979, Avec que du beau monde .ALBUM SUBLIME ,ALBUM DE COLLECTION ( on arrive à le trouver également ( et plus facilement en double CD
Sitting here in the Big City of LA, first cup of coffee and Jackson Browne just came up on YT (These Day's followed by Piney Wood Hills). Thank You Jackson for helping so many reconnect to humanity in these trying times.
Buffy St.Marie, I've not heard that name since I don't know when. What a Beautiful song to pick Jackson for us to listen to. I honestly just don't know her work. NOW I DO!! WOW!! I'm going to seek her songs out thanks to you and your phenomenal taste in music. Again, Thank you Jackson and Greg. Doug in Green Bay, WI
Never got the chance to see Jackson Browne but I did get to see David Lindley at the “Raven Theater” in Healdsburg California. I was even invited backstage after helping to clean up.My buddy an I partied with David till 4 am. Never forget that time in my life.
Fantastic!!! Buffy Sainte-Marie was like the soundtrack of my life from 1964 when her first album came out, and all through the years that followed. (She, and Bob Dylan, and Joan Baez.) And Piney Wood Hills was one of my favorites of hers. One among many. You do it beautifully, and that figures, because you do every song you sing beautifully. You caught the spirit of it perfectly. This made my day.
Loving these concerts! Been a huge fan since the 70s. When you strip these songs down to vocals, piano/guitar, and simple accompaniment, it's a beautiful thing. Rock on Jackson! How about a little Something Fine :)
Jackson, you are too cute 😊....have always loved your music... Right now you are the only person I want to see in concert!!...Wish you could write another smash hit. Like back in the day and it makes all the radio stations... Jackson, do it!😊... you still have it!💜
Jackson i just want to say thank you for sharing your Music to us for all these year's you have made a huge impact on my life and countless other's...... Much Respect
I believe I can smell the smoke of the fire... a little slice of heaven.. just north of Yosemite... the place I call home thanks y'all... Wishing you Peace and Prosperity ad Infinitum 🙏
one of my favorite B St Marie songs... probably because I have moved around so much during a rather active life... often getting out of town just in the nick of Time... I am pretty sure good boys don't have to do that shit... but.. I would not know... growing up on army bases and moving every year.. does not lead to long term stability... in fact... I think I can hear the highway calling me.... come home.... come home... still searching
This really was a delightful “two-fer”. So often you songs are so moving I cry, but today you made me laugh! As someone who grew up with you, I totally get the forgetting. You are Real!
I have been a fan for decades. I have seen you live several times. I literally own every one of your albums. These videos give us a glimpse of you that we have never had. I am so grateful for your music and for these videos.
Thanks for the beautiful song, which I hadn’t heard. As a teenager, I sang in a folk group when I discovered BSMarie. “My country ‘tis of your people.. we’re dying” are lyrics I will never forget. My heart has always ached for Native Americans who are suffering. I was sad when she seemed to disappear. I assumed she got married, children, too busy, etc. However, I read a couple of years ago that President Johnson ( I think) ordered the radio stations, etc. to stop playing her music! I think she may be in Canada now. Our loss! Take care & God bless.🌹
Thank you so much for these “from home” offerings. The subtlety, the love, the light in the music has gently encouraged me to live from my heart regardless of the weather.
💙🙏💙 ThankYou💙🙏💙 I 🌸🌸LOVE BUFFY SAINTE MARIE🌸Always Have Since the 60’s 🌸🌹🌸🌹🌸🌹🌸🌹9-3-21 coming back to listen again and again 🌻🐝🌻Thank You...Love Your Way of Singing This One & of Course Your Heart🌹❤️🌹The Guitar sounds Are so Clear🎁Peace
Sitting on my deck listening to this song. So peaceful just like our beautiful Colorado Mountains to the west of my home. Thank you for this down home song. I can relate to it! 💞🤗
I was about 16 and a half when I first heard " Saturate Before Using."(1977) Jackson, you became my honorary soul mate!!... I quickly bought that album, then " For Everyman," saw you in concert in Sydney, where Ethan Browne came on stage and said," I want to introduce you to my daddy,Jackson Browne!!"... that and the whole concert were magical. Then when The Pretender came out,the entire album was broadcast across Manly Beach,Sydney ,one night...it was haunting. The Fuse,The Only Child and Sleep's Dark and Silent Gate are all such beautiful songs.....all your songs are beautiful. Thanks so much for what you've given to this world.
Thanks Jackson! I was just listening to Chris Thile covering Buffy's God Is Alive Magic Is Afoot and your Buffy cover popped up. Coincidence? I'm seeing you and JT on 8/27...I can't wait.
Jackson these videos get better and better each time. Even if you don't do them as often, please think about sending one out every now and then. Also; really looking forward to seeing the Playing For Change version of Doctor My Eyes!

Very cool and thanks for inviting us in.
Jackson - my prayer is that young musicians discover you so that they can see how it’s done... keep doing this please - for the next generation...
I had the Buffy St Marie double album w Piny Wood Hills on it when I was 15 (1968) Great album w 20 great songs. Thanks Jackson

Just stumbled on these home concerts...what a find, what a treasure you are JB....I have loved your work forever...I've grown old with you.
I love this man. He's like a fine wine that gets better with age; more appreciated, enjoyed, revered, and cherished.
All these live concerts are so comforting...try not to miss one of 'em.

I will be there for sure. Jackson Browne has guided me through so much.
It's a really nice image...Musicians just sitting around playing music for the sheer pleasure of it, and then letting us sit in virtually to listen.
I was going to say the same thing. Maybe a quick song from backstage or the hotel room while on tour every now and then would be very cool.

A sentimental song to get lost in. Bravo. Have fun on the tour!
This is gorgeous.
Another gift! Good old Jackson
Hello from Italy👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋
Hey man, the lyrics remind me of a place in the gentle landscape of southern Ireland called the Booley Hills. Peace is dropping slow there.
And for me it's the piney wood ridge where I spent my childhood summers with my Granny by the Oulu river, Finland!
The look to camera at the end - 🙌🏼❤️
Jackson never disappoints.
Just takes his time and lets the music speak.
Love since 1973.
Buffy Saint Marie. Universal Soldier
Thanks for reminding me what a great song this is. It's been many years since I've heard Buffy's version. That Weissenborn sounds great!
