    As soon as I saw the automation arm and am automation bench I immediately realized that Redstone brained lads with a tad of the tism should have some magical machines. However I never saw any videos with ppl doing this stuff. Finally...I FOUND YOU!😂

    I love when designs emerge from small mechanics which the devs probably never expected to be used that way.
    And I'm not talking about exploits, just mechanics working as intended used for stuff the players came up with.

    A comprehensive automated item filter connected to a bulk storage that will sort ALL stackable items in the game with the convenience of just throwing items in and letting the system do the work will probably be the size of the dirt biome.

      For bulk storage, you would use item sorters. They are different and much smaller

    This is great work you're doing.
    I had no idea that drills could pull items from in front of them.
    Also took me a few minutes to understand exactly how the filter item was getting split and passed back, but it seems like the item display can only hold 1 item, thus automatically dropping the remainder of the stack on the ground (allowing it to get pulled by the drill one tick later). Please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

      That is correct. I explain in further detail how these work in my other videos.

    Also great video

      Thanks. I've been doing well, just been playing games other than Core Keeper. Since a lot of my old designs are broken now, I will be putting up new videos as I see fit.

    In the future it would be very helpful if you started from scratch -- the line of things already being in place has confused me to where i can't get this working -- the top arm never activates and i cannot figure out why even though it seems to be identical?

    Awesome, I didn't know I needed this but I do haha.
    What's the difference between a 1 second and a 0.5 second clock, what does it affect?

    • @exxidion
      @exxidion  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      it just affects filter speed

    How many iterations can I add? Is there a limit or did I mess mine up? I have 6 items I want to sort but it keeps getting stuck between 3 and 4. The others ones won't power.

    • @TheLuckyHAM
      @TheLuckyHAM 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It seems like you can only do 4. Then the limit of 25 blocks is reached an you ran out of power...

      For everyone reading this: You need to put an amplifier between every 3 item sort iterations. (Logic gate with a generator on its side)
      But I have another problem now. Sometimes an item gets into the loop process and ends up in the chest. It seems this is a clock problem, since I had problems with the 0.75 clock in the beginning. I would suggests that you need a slower clock time the more items you want to sort, but that's totally guessing. Need to test that! Maybe it has something to do with the creativity mode he is playing or my version of the game (currently 1.0.0.7).

      After testing I came to these solutions:
      - Use a 2 second clock.
      Easy to build. You won't get your items much slower since they simply just stack and come in a larger stack rather than just more alone. The faster clocks can result in a break of the item loop (the item in the chest gets taken out before the item can return and make room for an unwanted item, which breaks the item sorter)
      - Every 3 item sort iteration use an amplifier.
      It's just a a logic gate with a generator to it's side. Generators can only power 25 blocks. You will lose power during the 4th iteration.

      Teleporting messes with the timing/ticks/whatever. After I use waypoints or portals unwanted items get inside the sorting loop.

      It seems unwanted items are getting in the loop regardless of what I do. If someone has the same problem and a fix please let me know :)

      If you are in creative mode, be sure to unpause the world. Otherwise, try disabling all mods.
