Van Halen didn’t release a full-length home video until 1986’s Live Without A Net: the first concert performance to be released by this legendary group.
Filmed at the New Haven Coliseum, it features the hits “Why Can’t This Be Love”, “Love Walks In”, “Best Of Both Worlds”, “There’ Only One Way To Rock”, “Summer Nights”, “Panama”, And “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love”, plus the always anticipated guitar, bass, and drum solos.

One of the best live shows on planet Earth, ever. These guys put on the greatest show and they didn't need huge pyro or crazy stage antics. Just some of the best rock n roll music of that era, or any era. And it didn't hurt that the guitar player is one of the greatest to ever live.

This was the year I was born. It was, as you can see, a strange and wonderful time.
This video is a microcosm of the whole Sammy Hagar tenure as the lead singer of Van Halen. The video is polished , the vocals are polished , the musical instrument playing is at a peak…and it all doesn't come close to the David Lee Roth crazy , singing off key days!!!
