I'm a beginner but from watching you read these amigurumi patterns and watching I find amigurumi looks so much easier to understand then regular crochet patterns. I try but can't understand them but these seem less confusing then those now I'm watching and listening to you explain them. Now they don't seem as complicated but I tries reading a normal crochet pattern today and it looked way bad to understand and it is supposed to be a beginner pattern. Maybe I'm ment for amigurumi at this point lol
I am so glad that I've been able to make it easier! Maybe i can do a quick video explaining instructions. If I can see those instructions, I could help explain what they are saying. Check my about section for info! Instructions may vary from brand to brand but should be somewhat universal. Thank you so much for watching!!! 💚💚💚
@IsmsbyJosie basically the crochet patterns I been looking at are from a thing called annies crochet club. They send you a new crochet kit every month and go but they way they are written out makes no sense to me and they in my opinion aren't beginner friendly 😅 they word things weird. I kinda have a issue with "reading comprehension " so it could be me
@pamelawhitmore2008 okay, looking at their website now. They have a lot! Maybe I'll pick something and make one for the new year. Was there a specific kind you have?
@IsmsbyJosie well I have like 6 or 7 of the different patterns I got from them and then I canceled the subscription because I couldn't understand the patterns and got I over welmed trying to figure them out. They sent me a few that have weirs names to pronouce the only one I have tried to touch first is called a lacy mesh shawl. Also is there really a difference between a magic ring, Adjusting ring and ML?
@pamelawhitmore2008 okay I'll pick a random one. They do look complicated lol they are all the same magic loop, magic ring, adjustable ring. This was the first time I saw it being called adjustable ring.
I do actually have a question I have been meaning to ask while I have been following along with you with my kit and looking at my book. I was wondering how come you making a slip stitch and then chain 1? I was wondering because I don't see that part written I'm the pattern 😅 like when working in the rounds of making the body parts ect.
You're right! I took a look at their AR instructions and it doesn't. But it also just stops at closing the ring. Maybe it's an oversight because they do have you chain one before making the single crochet. In other kits I've done they include it. You can omit it for next time see what happens. I put it in there to build the row height. The first single crochet might look squished without it. 😅 good catch!!! 👍
@IsmsbyJosie lol I was just wondering I'm learning is all. I wasn't sure if I was somehow missing what you was seeing on the pattern. I thought I miss understood it. With me not knowing much about reading crochet patterns I thought that was the case so I thought ask. Lol
@pamelawhitmore2008 aw definitely not. Force of habit. When you do a lot of these l, you'll end up in auto pilot! Let me know if you try it without the chain!
@IsmsbyJosie understandable lol I definitely will let you know. I feel like it would have some kind of affect on how long/tall each piece is that would also result in the character's heights maybe?
Great job!
Nice❤
