  • My TRIP back In TIME to THE WOODSTOCK 69 MUSEUM ...
(Next best thing if you weren't there)
I was in my RV for the concert I was too young at the time to see, no dope, just high on coconut water. No coke, I was snorting spearment leaves and driving down the ancient farm roads, which haven't changed a bit in 50 years. "Going down to Yasguer's farm to join in a Rock and Roll Fest" as CSNY blared from my RV's radio ....
The concert back in 1969 that changed history .. but getting to it was another thing ...Traffic was backed up and at a standstill all the way to Canada as 450,000 newly sprouted hippies made it to the Bethel, NY site (70 miles away from it's namesake - Woodstock) while another estimated million and a half where stuck in traffic, lost .... or on their own trip (and probably thought they had arrived).
Journey with me inside the museum ....
I urge everyone to visit the museum. It's a multi media event of an improbable event. You'll hear how history is repeating itself .. the media attacked this event ... HIPPIES ... the scum of society .. they would demonstrate ... No ... they were American kids .. evolving ... changing history ... and they proved that 1/2 million kids can peacefully spend 3 days in a cowfield and experience Music ... Peace ... and sharing ... I still wish I was there ... but as soon as someone invents a time capsule .... :)

Far out. Where have all the flowers gone? What happened to my generation?? Was loosely planning to go in 94. So glad that i didn't. Was able to attend the 20 Years After-20th Annv. Woodstock weekend, back home in Los Angeles. Got to see and hear many of the original performers and meet Wavy Gravy.

I went there 10 years ago. How you go there and not get the actual field is interesting.

Things are not the same as the 90s when people went to celebrate the anniversaries and had bond fires and beer and weed and good rock music a bunch or young people hanging out . I know I was there 93,94,95 .. now the new owners want money and overprice everything . Although the museum is nice and thanks for the concerts with new artists but my nights in the 90s was so much much better

This guy shows us more of the parking lots than the actual field. I've been to the site seven times and every time you can hear mis-information in people's comments to each other. I've read every book and seen every video on Woodstock and can maybe tell you more than some of the freaked out hippies that were there. Like the guy I met the first time I visited the site who told me the stage was at the top of the hill!

RV... you have the right field on your left starting at 4:35 into the video! Even though you made an initial error, this is a well done inspirational video that does a great job showing the site and museum , and you can tell was done from the heart. So true the comparison of this site to less inspirational historic sites (George Washington, etc.)
On a lighter note, I think George lost the dentures in the Battle Of Polident.....

Thanks for posting, but you should have shown more of the actual field and stage area ... not the parking lot and visitor's center. It's always worth researching, beforehand.

Pray. How did it change history? At best it defined a generation of hypocrisy culminating to the woke society in which we exist.
