- It's finally done - our dream Hidden Pantry! Today I'm giving you a full room tour and also showing you some before and afters of the space that we renovated. I'm also going to show you how we've organised our pantry and some organization hacks too. I hope you enjoy today's video x

You could cut out the use-by date & white tack/sellotape/scotch tape it to the underside of the lid ❤
That is what I do in my jars👍🏼
This is the dream! I'm surprised a brand as expensive as the Home Edit doesn't invest in peelable labels - even t k maxx labels come off easily!! Label positioning hack: line all the jars / tubs up next to eachother on the counter and put a single long strip of masking or painters tape along them all to position the labels at the same height. Only really works for rectangular ones but thought I'd share!x
Dates are on packets and boxes how do you mark this on your containers ?

It might even be worth coating the bottom of the metal baskets with something like nail varnish, to try and create a barrier. We have rattan metal baskets in our side tables, and it’s the very front edge that’s worn away the timber finish where they brush past.

Nice organized and functional pantry. Must make preparing food and cooking various dishes so much easier.
I’m sure you’ve thought of it but how do you know when anything has expired? Also I’d be frightened I’d break those jars as they are so wide to hold for small hands.

Really nice! I’m Kon Mari certified (back when she certified people) and organising pantries was and still is a favourite part of mine. I think it’s a good thing to do quarterly, you’ll know to rotate your tinned goods etc. And you can take inventory of what to buy in the future. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year 🧡🎄🎉🧡🎄🎉

Emily, did you know a lot of us follow you in the United States??? If you could in the future please list the United States 🇺🇸 Amazon Links as well for things you use please. I am “So In Love” with your kitchen that when I move into a new house fairly soon I am planning on doing some major remodeling in the Kitchen and Bathroom’s first. I figure if I get the Bathroom’s done and the Kitchen at the same time I can get those checked off and then get the glass doors put up in the kitchen to close the noise off and I can actually redo the one room into a “Pantry Room” like yours and do what you did. I love your videos even though I am “across the pond” and you have given me so many ideas 💡 that I am trying to make everything “Absolutely Functional” throughout the house and to get everything to where everything has it’s place and stays there. The only request I had was that I get 2 Dishwashers (if possible) so that I can run one directly after dinner and set the other one off 2 to 3 hours later but for the purpose that when I do the dishes everything gets done and I am not waiting for the dishwasher to finish running, to cool off so I can handle the dishes and the reload several times. With 4 kids (2 of each ranging from 5-25) then 2 of the kiddos being married and 3 Grandbabies plus my sister, her hubby, their 2 kiddos and my other half and I in the house… this move will be something that has to happen and dishes need to be kept clean and put away. Lol

Love feedback on ruggable. I heard so many people say once you have taken the rug out to wash and try to place it back, you can’t get it to set right and wrinkles are horrible.
Hi. We've had good experience so far. only washed a couple of them once and they seem ok. We plan to wash them all in the spring and end of summer as it's not easy to dry them in the winter. I hope this helps. I know they're expensive but I'll take a couple of wrinkles over a rug I can never wash if that makes sense. Thanks for watching xx

Also if you’re into your fruit and herbal teas I’ve loved making a ‘tea drawer’ it’s like a flat lay in a drawer for tea? It’s hard to explain but it’s a lovely thing to offer guests to choose something from, I could try send a pic if you’re interested but if you have space and like the pukka ones I think you’d enjoy having it!! For your sticky label removal,Lakeland does a bottle of liquid called “ sticky stuff remover” it’s brilliant,very quick and last ages ,I’ve had mine for about 5 yrs and still plenty left ,something I would not be without,I use to remove all sorts ,shoe labels,discount labels etc

I had a hidden larder room in my house too, similar size to yours. We have temporary shelving in it at the minute so this was great for giving me some ideas for when we do get it fully fitted 😍

Question, are those labels washable?
Hello Emily, what a MAMMOTH JOB 😍 but it's looking great.👍 Something I noticed Emily, Flaxseed needs to be kept refrigerated as it can go rancid, nuts store well in fridge, for the same reason. Where does the heat/fumes/steam all go, if you use those appliances in your pantry? My Instapot and airfryer both give off steam and the airfryer gives off a good amount of heat. Do you have any extraction unit in your pantry? I'm completely jealous, of course!!!

I’ve been watching your videos for the past 5years or so. You’ve always been organised and productive. But my goodness your levels of organisation and productivity has like propelled into space or something. How the heck do you do it?!? Love your storage organisation. I was wondering about the labels you have which are lovely but are they water proof? Obviously the jars will need washing from time to time. 🙂

Very good. I would put the label s at the very top so you can see it better. Many canisters in front of each other as I would do too.
