  • This is my conversation with Dark Sky Alliance joined by Robert Rich. It took place in May 2024 from their respective studios worldwide.
Spotted Peccary Music is proud to present Interdwell, the debut album from Dark Sky Alliance, comprised of music industry veterans including percussionist Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Indigo Girls), keyboardist Rupert Greenall (The Fixx), soundscaping synthesist Eric “the” Taylor, and cinematic sound-maestro guitarist David Helpling.
Interdwell features special guest appearances by Tony Levin (King Crimson) on upright bass, Jamie West Oram (The Fixx) on guitar, ambient pioneer Robert Rich, the late Sonam Targee on trumpet and voices, and Joe Locke on vibes. The craft and passion of everyone involved is heard and felt in this epic work of art, a crucial new recording and a significant contribution to electronic, ambient, and acoustic music.
Interdwell is a vivid, inspiring odyssey throughout, a work that carries the listener from a sun-dappled lake to the furthest reaches of space and back again, leaving only the desire to experience it all over again.
You can buy the music here: spottedpeccary.com/shop/inter...
This item will be released May 17, 2024.

Really special to hear a story with multiple artists contributing to a music production in this genre. It’s a new era in music production stories hearing about remote contributions being formed together into a solitary presentation. I did not realize Robert Rich served as a contributing “studio musician” for this album; very cool.

What a nice surprise to see Dark Sky Alliance joined by Robert Rich & Claudio for a discussion that gets into the deep & sometimes challenging process of collaborating and making music in a group. Catch Robert's insights on the broader meaning of "space music" at 38:45. Great music, thanks Claudio!
