  • Originally recorded in 1994, Bob Monroe talks about his early spontaneous out-of-body experiences and how they spawned a curiosity for the non-physical realm and the study of expanded states of consciousness.
Bob shares his thoughts on why we are here [in this life] and unconditional love "where no reward whatsoever is expected from it. Love is a band of energy...the creator line."
You can find Expanding on Consciousness on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or your favorite podcast apps and please be sure to rate and review.

I had my first OBE in 1992. I thought I was going mental. I didn’t tell anyone and it happened again and again. It wasn’t until 2006 that I found out what was happening to me when I confided in a friend who happened to have them as well. Then I discovered Bob Monroe. What a relief to know I wasn’t alone. His books have helped me so much. My husband can go out of body and strangely, so can my 14 year old daughter. Out of my 5 children, she’s the only one that can go out of body whenever she wants. I need the help of hemi-sync. She just imagines being in an elevator going up fast and she’s been doing this at will since she was 11. I am forever grateful to Bob Monroe.

Bob's books changed my life. The most exciting reads! And I'm a avid speed reader. His books aren't for everyone. In fact many are scared to death to look into them. Bob was/is probably the greatest explorer/author of all time. I was wondering if anyone who is part of the monroe institute has been contacted by him since his passing? I wish I could have met him and studied under him. Truly a great man.

@dorothyadams8534 I started with Far Journeys recently, but then I obtained Journeys out of the Body when I'm only halfway through FJ. I've started Journeys out of the Body because FJ seems to skip a lot of Munroe's development. Far Journeys is amazing, and a great intro if it's all you've got, but it feels like you are coming into the story part way through.

Monroe voice is clear as cristal teaching what we will find in our journey, examining with precision with his own experience allowing us to expand and find more in our multiple creative states. He open the gates for us to explore and share... leaving infinite possibilities in this time were knowledge is fading away.

I was introduced to Bob Monroe’s work in the early 90s when a friend of mine bought a series of cassettes that was brain entrainment. I started listening to the tapes and was hooked. That was 30 years ago and I still use his hemi-sync, some I’ve bought in CD form, now I use the app. I’m enjoying the app. At some point in time I would like to purchase the entire gateway series and practice it in the correct steps. The app has some of the gateway experiences but not in entirety or in order. Thank You for sharing this interview ❤

Fascinating to watch and to listen to! I've saved this video and I'll watch it again. I just wish the introduction was not so long-winded. While watching this video, I had an experience of synchronicity. I've been thinking lately whether there are karmic connections, from previous lives, with some people we meet in our current lives. The answer to my question was provided in this interview, in which Robert Monroe was quoted as a believer in fate and karma...a form of destiny that brings people together and that he was destined to live his life pretty much the way he did. Time, fate and synchronicity have played a crucial role in my life.

However for the Greeks fate was a Web, your destiny was bound and crossed by other lines just like in a Web.. even the gods did not escape fate... if you think about some answers may lay in the past, looks like humans were more in touch with the everything back then

It’s ironic, the comments of bob monroe are expressed as if he has left us or went away. 😂

16:35 for the actual conversation to bypass the ego babbling of the host. Wow. sad they couldn't even include the timestamp. People are here to listen to Bob Monroe,
not you carrying on about how you're enlightened!

The Monroe Institute can teach you...for a price...a large price. It's sad that this organization turned spiritual truths into a business.

@powerball200: I believe you can find the Gateway recordings on TH-cam. In the early 2000's, I did a weekend intensive held by a trainer. On and off for 8 hours a day, we meditated using the Gateway CD recordings with headphones. There were six of us and we all had a lot of really interesting experiences. Maybe you can ask the Monroe Institute if they have any trainers near you.

15+ years ago, thru their CDs I bought very inexpensively on Ebay - and Bob's books - I began to have OBEs. It's now part of my life.
Odd that you seem to believe one must go to the Institute to learn this.
Hope you give it a try. Peace
