As someone who used a Contax G2 for years, those Kyocera-produced Zeiss lenses are killer, and the Tessar design is an excellent choice for P&S Cameras. As for the battery, yeah, there were a tonne of weird formats through the 1990s; they are easy to find (online) if you don't have a dedicated camera store. I have a Maxxum 70, F65, and EOS3000 that take all different types of those C-Series batteries. Great video and you made Lomo 800 look good!
Yeah man I really didn't expect the lens to be THAT good. Kinda puts my mju II to shame, yet it doesn't even have a quarter of the hype that the mju series has gained!🤦🏽♂ I'm glad that you enjoyed the vid, I hope to improve so let's cross fingers that the next video gives y'all even more enjoyment haha
Hey, bro! Got the camera for a test today. Spent all day with it, it worked for 7-8 hours. After the film ran out it stopped turning on. It's like the battery ran out. Maybe someone has encountered a similar problem?
i have the yashica L, similar but no carl zeiss goodness, and before i could put a roll thru it i broke the film door...😒...just after i spent the same on the c3po battery as i paid for the camera...😵....
Oof☠ This was the most "describe a sad film in one sentence" sentence I ever read🤦🏽♂ I hope you at least found good use for the battery, and that you got another good P&S camera!
Those CR123A batteries, as well as CR-P2 (mostly for SLR-s in the 90's) where quite common an easily to obtain back then. Since so few people are using those electrically driven film cameras these days, those batteries are becoming harder and harder to find. That's the law of the market, sorry. On the bright side, if stored those batteries will loose only 1% of the energy a year, so maybe it's time to stockpile... If there's enough light or if you are using flash this camera, it shouldn't have any problem finding focus in a total darkness, course it uses an infrared beam instead of phase detection system found in SLR's / DSLR's. With the same token that's the reason all those PS cameras are having a problem while shooting thru a closed window / glass. Now with that being said, the flash on your camera is not TTL controlled, but with the same infrared beam I've been talking earlier. So, you could cover your flash with a piece of paper (or more of them, it depends) or with a piece of semi transparent white plastic, what should soften your flash and bring its output down. Yes, your camera will look like Darth Vader with an eye patch but it should work. Hope this helps...
It's because of people like you that I love the community so much. Do you know how much you just helped me? Damn man, I've already started hunting down those batteries even as I'm typing this😂 Thanks for the tons of useful info homie, I truly appreciate it, and I'm sure whoever else reading your comment would have found great value in it too!💯💯

Hey man. I've never seen this happening before. Try a fresh battery maybe?
Great review
Thanks a bunch, man!
Another great vid 👏🏽 But ya I definitely didn't ask to do you 😅🙈
As said before, that would be problematic😂😂
