I like Sam’s take on Baylor struggling for mental reasons. Sam noted the pressure and I think it’s worse when he goes from the primary ball handler for years in college to being a system cog. In theory it should be easier for him but somehow he looks a little panicked. I love the idea of a big, lefty ball-handler with a quarterback-level of passing. It might not be possible for him to develop on our the Celtics but I am still hopeful.
I would say my big winner is Sam Hauser, we already knew he is one of the best 3pt shooters in the league but it looks like he added a mid range game and does a lot more with the ball in his hands, if he can keep that up and be as efficient he was in the pre season, watch out!
Why doesn’t NEEMY try mid Range shots? He can clearly shoot the ball a little bit so maybe like eight footer glass turnaround or shoot it over the top of people like KP. I’m not saying it would work, maybe mess around with it in the G league. I don’t know his touch around the basket is so bad but his shot looks so good. Maybe he could find a way to be more efficient that way. I know it’s extremely unconventional because those are the types of shots. You don’t really want to take, but if you Are 7 feet tall it changes a bit. And then it might open up things around the rim for him if he can develop a pump fake
