    I have not seen these before. I use a Midori MD Notebook with a paper cover. They patina so beautifully over time. Also my Paper Republic leather cover with writer's notebook. If you have not trued one, I think you might enjoy tone as a desk notebook. Love your videos. I am also a Field Notes fan.

    Some people don’t understand why I buy beautiful notebooks and then try to figure out how to use them. Some note books have been waiting for years for my anxiety of ruining them to release😂

      Just know a notebook can’t be ruined, it’s purpose is to be filled with notes, neat or tidy, it doesn’t care! Thanks for watching!

    Don't know how or if I'd use one but I'd buy one just for the look of the double rings. They give one a sense of reassurance that this is a durable, high-quality notebook. Yes. A spiral-bound would probably last long enough but I've always disliked them. Now I'll be haunted with these images.

      Spiral notebooks grew on me. I never liked how it changed the otherwise flat, rectangular shape of the notebook, but they are fun in their own way. This particular one is very high quality. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Lucas, I received a brand new luxurious notebook for mother’s day, and at first I hesitated to start using it because I felt the use I had for it wasn’t it’s due « fulfillment ». I finally acknowledged that using it for my everyday work scratch book was the best way for it to bring me daily joy, so I just left the first page blank and started using it without compunction. This is partly thanks to you, before I heard your testimonies it would probably have stayed preserved safely in a drawer until forever, waiting for a higher purpose to emerge… I really relate to what you share through your channel, so thank you!

      Hi Michele, thank you for sharing this and I am very pleased you are making use of that notebook. The highest purpose of any notebook is to be filled! Thank you for watching!

    I love the idea of leather notebooks, and Midori paper is amazing for sure. I believe the same paper is used for Plotter (owned by Midori I think). Another notebook that I really like is William Hannah: leather and repositionable pages. A bit on the expensive side, but I really do like it. Really nice notebooks do give me hesitation to use them, but it helps when the pages are repositionable :)

      Thanks for the William Hannah tip, yet another brand I’ve not heard of before. I have seen the plotter a lot on Instagram, but haven’t bought one yet. Might have to do a deep dive on re-positionable notebooks!

    Dude, you got me into trying this whole EDC notepad. I'm currently starting with the regular Field Notes I'm trying it for 30 days I started a month ago and already I can see how my thoughts are more clear and I am begining to be more organized

    I totally understand the fear of using a notebook because it might not live up to its purpose. And yes when I flip back to some old notebooks, it brings back memories.
    Have a great day 👍🏿😎👍🏿

    @BlankFirstPage Thank you for sharing this video! Love the stories behind the notebook as well. The great stationery deprivation, indeed. 😂I was wondering what the size of the larger notebook is. Is it a B6?

    • @BlankFirstPage
      @BlankFirstPage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I believe it’s a B6, it’s kind of a shorter, fatter A5. A B6 size is a great way of ruining a shelf of A5 notebooks, because it just sticks out so awkwardly and doesn’t align with any of the other ‘standard’ sizes!

    if you are an engineer, perhaps you can design your own notebook!!

    • @BlankFirstPage
      @BlankFirstPage  ปีที่แล้ว

      A texture-centric notebook. I think I could do something there!

      @bokebynding ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlankFirstPage that would be interesting, I'd like to know your thoughts on that, definitely. But I was thinking more along the lines of a notebook that perfectly answered every need. An ideal, for you. Type of paper, binding size etc etc

    "highest quality notes" 😂 😂
    I wonder how the paper would react with watercolour, do you have the weight of the paper? Or maybe one of your subscribers has experience using it for sketching?

    • @BlankFirstPage
      @BlankFirstPage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think it would be great for watercolor as its a bit too ‘slick’ of a paper texture. I am no watercolourist though so it may make for a good experiment :)
