You are the second person I've seen having the double eject issue with these guns. I would normally wait a year or two before purchasing a new release gun, just so they have time to work the bugs out. But I have ordered myself one and when it arrives, that will be one of the first things I test for. Thanks for the review.
I have heard that the mag tube spring is the same length for the 20 inch and the shorter barrels. That might be the issue. You may just have to remove a length of mag tube spring to reduce the tension.
Hey Mark, I prefer walnut stocks all the way throughout, its just the look of a lever gun I've always liked. As an owner of a Winchester 94 trapper, I'm interested in the comparison between the two rifles. Not so much caliber, but fit and finish. I have had my eye on this rifle for awhile, because it's 357 or 38 cal. So i can practice rather cheaply. My 30-30, even though i reload my brass, is getting expensive to shoot. Not to hunt with so much, but at the range to practice for hunting season. Im really liking the tactical hand guard, and places to mount optics and laser or lights. Let's say, it's growing on me. I can see where that forend is very adaptable for different situations. Glad to see your review, and don't feel bad about the ejection troubles, it looks to be a timing error as speed increases the ramp slides up too fast and kicks the live round out. The short stroking trouble is normal to anyone who isn't used to cocking a lever gun, just like a pump shot gun from an auto loader. It just takes getting used to. Oh well, enjoyed the video, let us know if they find the ejection issue, timing or just overpowering the lever? Thanks for the review, helpful.😀😀👍👍👍👍
On the double-ejecting thing.. one of the other videos i saw where that was mentioned happening said something about the gate inside the firearm (im assuming they mean the loading gate) was moving to far over during cycling and that it was allowing a round to slip past. Not sure how they adjusted it, but they did mention that going away after sliding it over a little bit.
It seems like several of the different levergun brands in 357/38 special are having issues with 38 special but run flawless with the .357 mag. Other two were big name brand but they were jamming rather than double eject when ran aggressively.
Great review, hopefully your ejection issue is resolved soon. Man, watching those spent shells hit you in the face when you worked the action off the shoulder, I was glad you had on eye protection. 😎 IMO, I’d rather spend the extra money for a Henry Big Boy X Model .357/.38 Spl, but still nice to have more budget friendly options.
I haven’t seen it(I could be wrong) but it be nice to get this setup with the 20inch barrel and 10 round mag tube.all the 20’s I’ve seen have the full wood. I wonder if they sell the Mlok hand guard, cheep on Gforce sight.
I love OG's danger show I started watching on toufladermouse? I don't know if I spelled that correctly😂😂😂 anyways Greg is awesome and I've wanted to get one of these guns for a while now I'm a huge G-Force shotgun Fanboy now did a video on a modded GForce GF2P 12 gauge that I did. He also answered some questions about my ammo and gave me good advice about not using any kind of homemade rounds for self-defense because it can get you in a lot of trouble courts frown on that even if it's less devastating or lighter recoiling or whatever the case may be they still look down upon it for some reason
What’s your opinion on the trigger? I currently own a Henry 357 lever action. I certainly don’t need another one. BUT I don’t know what it is about this rifle, but I’m really liking the looks of it and I like that big loop on it which will work good with my big hands. I don’t need one. I shouldn’t get one, but I probably will.😂😂😂😂 it’s just a cool looking firearm in my opinion and being lever action makes it all that much better. Will be curious how it shoots after they return it. Nice job on this video.
I’m wondering if the ejection problems could have been because you were shooting 38 Special instead 357’s. That SHOULDN’T cause it, but just an idea. I know that Winchester’s current production 92’s don’t even mention 38 Special anymore.
@@FitnFire long before these tactical lever guns became a thing I wanted to get one so I could shoot 38 special suppressed and for target shooting, then be able to use 357 magnum. That was before 38 got super expensive. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for without spending $1000.
I hope this(and other levergun newcomers) will get Marlin and S&W to bring their prices back down, out of the Stratosphere. $1,200.00+TAX is "a bridge too far".
You look like a strong fellow , why are you lowering the gun to lever in the next round ? Didn't see you cycle at the shoulder more than once or twice !
Bought one a week ago. Barrel was loose and had to be sent back to the factory. Never been shot. Very disappointing. We'll see how long the warranty process takes.
I'm experiencing the same thing.. from what I can tell, thenbarrel band is all that secures it from rotating. The parts diagram shows no barrel nut, and unlike a standard handguard 92, there is not additonal band closer to the breech. I'm considering putting a set screw into the top of the handguard against the barrel. The last thing I want is to send it off (which will cost me), for no solution

@whahahajr jeez that's what I'm afraid of. If it happens to me I'm adding a set screw on the handguard. Sucks now too because a bunch of big name lever guns dropped a lot in price

Still not sure if I like the tacticool furniture on leaver guns. But a budget lever gun is always welcome.
I’d like to see more offerings as far as caliber but good to see other manufacturers getting into the game
They have other models with a more traditional look.

Is it hard to cut the stock to a shorter lop ? I'm a little guy and with regular length stocks I can't rack the lever as well
Is there a particular reason you bring the rifle down off your shoulder to work the lever?
I was monitoring the feeding of the ammo…that’s all. Normally, it’d stay on my shoulder.

I think the trigger is just fine. Definitely not 3.5 lbs but not so heavy that it’s annoying. I’d say it’s on par with a standard 2 stage AR trigger
