Awesome feature comparison, thank you! That ability to unclog the Stratos without a screwdriver is a game changer for me, as an owner of two large dogs that shed a lot I vacuum sometimes multiple times a day. Anything that makes the process less tedious is an absolute win. Thank you!
I just picked up a vertex powered lift away at Walmart for $179, I can tape a little glade smell good gel pack or similar next to where the air comes out for the scented air, same thing kinda lol. I like the powered lift away feature so the head still works without the canister and is really slim to fit under furniture. Thanks for the video I'm glad I found a killer deal online!
Returning the vertex because it seems to keep losing power and seems like it’s running hotter than it should. Hopefully the stratus is a bit better or I may go back to Dyson
Can you swap the brush heads between the 2? In other words, can the body of the vertex be connected to the brush roll assembly of the Stratos? I ask, because I own a Vertex, and the brush roll stopped working, shark sells the assembly for the stratos, but not the vertex.
Vertex $180 on Wally right now, I’m debating if I should jump on it or get the Stratos for $270 after coupon on manufacturer’s website. I just broke my old Shark nv540 hose and don’t wanna spend $50 to replace since I bought it for $70’s refurbished over 5 years ago. It’s a good vacuum, but powered lift away is a nice feature for under beds… what to do what to do.. probably go with vertex and save $90
you should have jumped at that chance to get this monster of vacuum for $180. It sold out quickly on Walmart. I am kicking myself for not seeing this video/comments sooner.
I've had 3 of the vertex and the belt that connects the beater bar to the brush always snaps shark ended up sending me a fewe replacemt vac for the second one!. does anyone know if the stratus has a sturdier belt??? I love the rose gold on the vertex 😭
Personally, i feel that the Stratos has a better bin as he notes in the video. I feel that the Vertex's bin can be a bit narrow and flat, causing debris and material to get stuck between the clear plastic walls, where as the stratos has a wide open-wall bin to make it easy for stuff to fall out when emptying in the garbage. I do like the squeeze clip to unhook for clog maintenance (although those clips could make ot easier to be broken - but thats just speculation). Plus that the HEPA is easier to access as well or... More logical would be abetter way to describe it. Overall i agree, i feel that the stratos is just an improved version!
So if you already have a Vertex are you really missing any power between the two? Thinking of getting a stratos for use for picking up German shepherd hair. But right now I’m seeing 350 for vertex and 500 for stratos… doesn’t seem like that 150 more for stratos is worth it just for that gel? The other vacuum for the dogs I’m considering is the Dyson animal 3. What do you think?

I have been looking for this exact comparison for black friday, thanks!

One was built pre Covid manufacturing and company short cuts
Is the hose on the Statos any better (longer - less stiff) than the Vertex?
Got the Stratos today on Amazon for $360

@@carlhammill5774 I bought it for $180 then a few days later it went to $150, ended up getting the difference back by return and rebuy lol

No just get a vertex if you don't care about the scented air feature, if so just use a normal air freshener while you vacuum.
The stratos is aims at pet owners that's why you get the deorizor filter.
Can I have the vertax if you have a chance to give it away to me
