I watched the kick and sat in silence for what seemed like forever. Then I heard my dad simply say, "he missed it", and then the TV was shut off along with all of my hopes and dreams.

Look at the line when Anderson kicks, the right side just collapses and there's 3 Falcons in the backfield. Maybe he was trying to avoid getting it blocked by them coming from the right side, but went too far?

That must have made him try to slice the kick through as much as he could towards the left upright and the ball sailed to far too the left. Who knows,had he kicked it right down the center of the line,it may have been blocked or it might have barely flew by the Falcons player and it would've been good. Plus,the Falcons should've been called for running into the kicker!
