Eastern Meadow Voles in Your Backyard

Eastern meadow voles are cute little rodents that are often mistaken for mice or moles. Meadow voles prefer grassy field areas especially if they are wet. They may even live in your backyard. Meadow voles eat a variety of plants and seeds. They are also an important food source for many predators, including hawks, owls, fox and even short-tailed shrew.
