I've now caught the train from Southern Cross to Melton and back a few times since I began a relationship with a girl who lives out there a month and a half ago. It takes me about two hours all up to get from Berwick in the south east to Melton by train and an additional two to get back, but it really is worth it to spend time with her. I've also been wanting to get the V/Line on my own for several years, and now I have a reason to. I imagine I'll be making many more trips on this line in the future. I like being able to follow the journey I take in this video and the next ones, particularly from the driver's cab where I wouldn't normally have access to as a passenger. Thanks.
Glad you have been enjoying them. I hope everything goes well and you have many more trips on the train. 👍😀
@@driver667 Thanks. I'm sure I will. Always love your content.
@@therealsammyvee888 👍😀
Great video
Thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Congrats on 8k!
Thank you very much. 😀😀👍
Sorry if this is an obvious question: but what is a Spion Kop?
I was wondering who would be first to ask that. Congratulations, you are number one. 😀 That is the name given to that area. It is used in timetabling as that is a junction. It was apparently named after the famous hill in the Boer war. 👍😀
👍
👍😀
With deer park getting the Xing removal facelift, does this mean there isn’t room in that section for two added lines in a future separation of electric to melton and diesel to Ballarat?
No, there is plenty of space for two more tracks. 👍😀
15:51 Ah, dear, it's Ardeer!
Oh my........ 🙄 👍😀
@@driver667 LOL
@@neilforbes416 Really you have no eye deer 😄
Love your videos, wondering why the platforms at Footscray are so long??
It is made to accommodate 9 car trains. 👍😀
Those twin tracks between SC and sunshine that are exclusive use for VLine must be quite busy between all the trains for Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo. A train every few mins or so?
In peak hour the trains are running right behind each other. Yes, it gets busy. 👍😀
I noticed near sunshine Someone’s phone went off has someone tried to annoy you deliberately once?
The door into the cab does not stop much sound. Every so often we hear phones ringing or people's conversations. 👍😀
Umm... as you know, I like trains... and I did enjoy the run, but I have to ask... where were all the deer? 🥺
Hiding 🤔👍
Never have I been on an Ararat train that hasn't used the fly over....
Glad to show you something a little different. 😀👍
i know m is metro, r is regional does anybody know what t is? at the 6.30 mark
The letters are the names of the tracks. The 'T' is Through suburban line. The 'R' is regional and the 'M' is Main suburban line. 👍😀
@@driver667 oh i c well i was sotter right about m but thanks for the t
